[00:00:30] Beach is calling and cold drinks are in the cooler. We've got one more job to do before we head on out of here.

[00:01:12] So welcome back for episode 183 of your Uncensored Home for World of Warcraft news and opinions, Unshackled Fury. I'm your host, Berzerker. Mr. Jez Corden is out on assignment. And on this episode, we're going over the ins and outs of next week's patch, a small but important community update, the June trading post, and your burning questions.

[00:01:38] But first, yes, as I've mentioned a couple times, I think at this point, a summer break is upon us. And this is the last episode before we take a little break here and planning on coming back in August. That'll be the ramp up to BlizzCon at that point, probably first, second week of August.

[00:02:04] So we'll have, you know, five or six weeks until we are down in sunny Anaheim. So Jez is actually already down there right now. The reason he's out is at the Xbox showcase. And there's been some, some pretty exciting announcements down that way. So I'm sure we'll have him talk about that at some point when he's back. So today, today's episode is really that kind of last day of school vibe.

[00:02:32] This isn't going to be a terribly long one. I just wanted to make sure kind of touched on the patch that's coming out and wrapping up a few things. So this is, it's going to be a bit of a lazy one. Maybe just taking it in, taking it slow. It's the gentle summer breeze. I guess it's kind of where we're at on this one.

[00:02:53] So to help carry us through, I had to go to a classic for this week's metal album of the week. And I'll be real with you. It's not the greatest album of all time. Uh, I think it's, you know, it's regarded. Okay. Uh, some may not even, uh, recognize this as metal, but it is the quintessential soundtrack to the last day of school.

[00:03:22] So from June 13th, 1972, I bring to you schools out by the legendary Alice Cooper.

[00:03:36] It has been a long running tradition in our family that on the last day of school, you know, just being the, I guess, type of parent that I am at this point, uh, pick up the boy from school, roll down all the windows in my rolling stereo and blast this track as loud as possible.

[00:03:59] As we roll past all of the, uh, parents that are like my, my dear God, who, who let that person, uh, have custody of a child. Uh, but that is, that has been our longstanding tradition as we blaze a trail out of that school year and over to the nearest seven 11 for some ice cold, delicious, velvety slurpees. Uh, you can taste it now. It's coming up this week in a few days. Very excited.

[00:04:27] But, uh, this is always the, the, the classic song that you got a blast to give you that energy of no more, no more teachers, no more books, you know, no, no more, no more pencils, no more dirty looks, no more bullshit. Like, this is it. We're out summer. It just, it just gets you out on the right foot. So, uh, quick and dirty. It's, it's not a very long album. 36 minutes. I think total in length. It is fast.

[00:04:56] You know, this is back in the old days when it used to be vinyl. This wasn't a tape or a CD or anything. Uh, legend has it that the original vinyl came wrapped in a pair of panties that were flammable. So apparently I had to stop doing it. Uh, but the cover looks like a desk and it's all got, you know, scratched up and little drawings. Markings on it and stuff like that. So the, the vibe is right.

[00:05:25] The, the sort of, uh, the effect of everything, uh, gets you in the right frame of mind. But wanted to share that this week as your metal album of the week. Once again, schools out by the legendary man himself, the man, the myth of legend, Alice Cooper.

[00:05:43] Now, as you head out yourselves, perhaps to summer break, I've got a piece this week's rage segment that, uh, I'm sure none of you really qualify as being the targets of this, but you know, something to keep in mind. And I just, I got to get it out. Cause once again, I got stuck in a situation I rather would not have been in, but here we go. Let's hit it.

[00:06:15] Let's rage. So as is common in certainly this country, summer break breaks in general vacation. Sometimes that can mean road trips, love road trips.

[00:06:30] If you've never been on a long road trip in these United States, whether just on your own or with a, with a partner, with a friend, with a family, it is, it is one of the most memorable experiences. I think, I think you can really have. And whether you're on a road trip or just living day to day, you may find yourself in a drive through.

[00:06:58] Maybe it's, maybe it's star bees. You got to get your drink and get your vanilla bean scone. You got to get your, uh, what, what, what is it? I get, I get a grande nitro cold brew black. You know, maybe, maybe you're going to Mickey D's burger King parties. If you're, I think east of the Mississippi and Carl's jr. For the West, wherever you may go jack in the crack.

[00:07:28] There's some basic etiquette. I think people seem to be forgetting. You got to pay attention. It's long lines. Don't look at your phone. Don't stare out the window. You got to be ready. You got to be ready for that order. When that next car moves up in front of you, move up behind them. Don't wait. Don't sit there lost wondering, did you leave the gas on? No, your house is going to burn down, but it's time to move. You ever been to that place before? Good. You should know what you want. You never been there before.

[00:07:58] You never seen a McDonald's. You don't know what a big Mac is. And by God, you better look it up beforehand. Don't let that be the first time somebody asks you, how may I help you? How can I take, can I take your order? And you go, ah, is your, is your iced tea brewed or instant? That is not the time for those questions. That time was yesterday. That time was an hour ago. That time might've been 10 minutes ago. We were thinking about what are we going to do for lunch?

[00:08:26] We got places to go, shit to do, people to see. And it is becoming an all too common occurrence. The drive through etiquette, like most other kinds of etiquette, are just falling by the wayside. And I won't stand for it. We got things to do. Like I said, we got miles, miles to track. We got, we got hills to climb mountains to pass.

[00:08:56] Meanwhile, Ethel in front of us can't see over the steering wheel and isn't sure if it's her turn yet. And tries to pay in cash and is digging around in the ashtray for nickels. No, nay, not the time. Pay by card. Know what you're doing. Friends. I know, I know none of you would ever, would ever display any of these kinds of behavior. I know.

[00:09:26] But just a word to the wise, be ready. Or she going to get the honk honk. That might be the last thing you need to get you in the mood. With some summer tunes out on the open road and having a good time. All right. Not a lot of news, but we have some news. And let's talk about it. Let's go.

[00:09:51] So as we had surmised, the next World of Warcraft patch, patch 12.0.7, Midnight Revelations, is in fact releasing next week on June 16th.

[00:10:17] We were throwing some darts and kind of looking at that release cadence that they are sticking to. At least for now. And so next week we have a brand new patch that, you know, for one of these kind of mini patches, half patches, whatever. Sub patches. Well, I still can't come up with a name for this.

[00:10:44] There is some decent amount of content and I don't know if it's going to curb the lack of enthusiasm and turn the tide for how things have kind of been going lately. But it is a fair chunk of stuff that we are getting. So for whatever that is worth, they're putting some effort into this one. So what else coming next week?

[00:11:12] We've talked a little bit about this before, but in a little more detail now, just so everybody kind of has a good handle on it. But we actually have two new zones coming in this next little sub patch, half squad patch. I don't know. We're going to be traveling to two different zones and they sound like names of ogres or something.

[00:11:38] But Val and Nigtal, I don't know. But you'll have to tell me where we're going to be going to these two zones, which will rotate on a weekly basis. We'll go to one one week and then one to another. We are going to go to those zones because as we continue to fight the forces of the void and there's the void assaults and the ritual sites and all that stuff.

[00:12:05] There are leaders that are responsible that aren't Zalatath for these specific incursions. And we're going to be going into those zones to chase them down and to, in the words of my personal Lord and Savior, dispense indiscriminate justice upon them.

[00:12:28] So not only are we going to be going to Nigtal, which is very Zangar marshy and Val, which is kind of like an ice planet. We're going to be getting them in the flavor of the world content that we saw in Legion Remix, which is that we'll be able to decide the difficulty that we want to encounter these two places in.

[00:12:56] They'll be normal. They'll be heroic. You get to choose when you portal into them. There will be, of course, better rewards for the heroic world tier. Essentially, you'll get these field accolades and you'll get either more or you'll get slightly better gear or you may even get for the final boss in each one of those two zones a better piece for your warband.

[00:13:26] As they've listed it out. So it's something that was very popular in Legion Remix, being able to do the heroic world tier. And people, people, people loved it. And it's something that it was just bound to show up here at some point. So that will be kind of the main thrust of those two zones. You'll be going in one week at a time and fighting off the baddies there.

[00:13:55] And so what do you get out of that? Well, you do get some gear, but there's just a shit ton of transmog and some pretty good, in my opinion, pretty good housing decor. It's light forged related. So if that's your jam, you really like that aesthetic. There's some pretty sweet items here. I think the transport pad, the light veils transport pad is one that's pretty cool in my mind, along with the luminant soldiers war banner.

[00:14:23] I like collecting the banners. That seems to be something I find quite a bit. And so you'll have to save all your Marlboros, your Marls, Voidlight Marls and accolades. Like I said, you'll be giving field accolades while you accomplish some of these quests as you go through.

[00:14:42] So that's kind of the main areas where a lot of this is going to be going on, along with, as we've talked about before, the Sporefall raid, which is coming up. That is still in Herondara. That's not going to be in one of the new zones. But what it will have, which is new and credit to the homie Rommel for reminding me about this, it's going to be introducing the flexible mythic size raid.

[00:15:10] So rather than just your standard size, you'll be able to flex between 15 to 25 for a mythic raid. And my guess is because it's one boss, they're probably able to do it a little easier to be able to balance that a little bit easier. But that does open it up for some teams, you know, having, you know, just the one size, you know, I was never on a mythic team, but I do remember the old days of 10 and 25.

[00:15:36] And it was a pain in the ass trying to get those full compliments. So to be able to have that sort of flex, it's really nice. I'm sure, you know, some folks are going to figure out what the break points are and maybe there's a benefit to having 19 or 21 or something like that. I don't know. There's, there's always some gamesmanship going on there, but I curious to see how that works out. I think that that is a popular move overall.

[00:16:06] It's probably less stress on some raid teams that have to bench somebody or maybe you're a little short, a couple of weeks, but that'll be nice. And yeah, some, some rewards coming out of that to help. I think in this endeavor, we are getting a new borrowed power. Uh, uh, I don't know what to call this option item, you know, addition something, uh, the Omnium folio.

[00:16:36] So if I'm pronouncing this correctly, the Omnium folio is a new mechanic that is being introduced. You're going to be working with, uh, um, brick and roll math in the sun strider Omnium. It's this elven relic that you're going to be helping them with. And essentially it's, it looks kind of like a talent type tree.

[00:17:00] And you will, as time goes on, unlock the ability to open up certain, certain pathways on the tree. And it's a lot of real passive stuff like, uh, just right out of the way, you'll get these, uh, void touched orbs every so many seconds. And then after so long, they'll, they'll attack whatever you're attacking, or there's some healing where here's one.

[00:17:29] This is when your core rune deals damage or healing, you are healed. If you are below 75% health, uh, there's a lightning one, uh, uh, or lingering, sorry, lingering rune. Your, uh, core rune deals, additional cosmic damage to enemies or additional healing to allies over eight seconds. You know, critical strike. There's a critical strike one. Um, it just, it's that kind of a thing. And it's, it's not on any particular piece of gear. It's just a general enhancement for yourself.

[00:17:58] Uh, but what I, what I like most of all, out of all of this big surprise, uh, considering the housing whore that I've become is that if you are able to complete all of this, uh, uh, all five seeking knowledge quests, cause that's what you'll be doing is, uh, you'll be, uh, completing seeking knowledge quests, which will give you, uh, a moat of Omnial inquiry. That's what you'll use. Love these names.

[00:18:26] That's what you use to unlock each one of these, uh, uh, items in the Omnium folio. Uh, once you've done all five, there is the Sunstrider Omnium Simulacrum. Um, that is, uh, this, uh, this phenomenal piece of housing decor, really super cool, kind of hard to describe. It, it, it's got a bunch of orbs and probably something spinning around and, uh, a great piece of gear that look awesome in the front yard.

[00:18:56] That's probably where I'm going to put mine. Uh, assuming that I, that I do all of this, but, uh, yeah, this, it's just kind of an additional mechanic that they're adding. It's pretty benign. If you ask me in terms of what it requires you to do, there's some questing, but it's, it doesn't take away from anything. It's just going to be a little bit of a little bit of extra stuff. So, uh, a new, a new borrowed power mechanic for you.

[00:19:20] On top of that, we also have a, looks like a, a campaign, uh, questline storyline. That's probably going to be bridging now into 12.1 and more of the troll stuff that we've seen out in Zulamon. That, uh, was it Atalutech, uh, uh, off on that, uh, Eastern side of, uh, Zulamon.

[00:19:49] And you'll be helping Zuljan and the Amani trolls and the Haranir. And there's some big mystery and you're, you're helping them and doing a thing. But it very clearly seems to be setting up that, that bridge, that tie going forward in the story. And I haven't looked at any of that yet. Uh, just kind of want to play it, uh, live as I usually do.

[00:20:08] Uh, but that'll be something, uh, to keep us engaged and interested in the story as, as we try to continue to get ourselves out of the doldrums here. Uh, perhaps better than any of this, some housing updates, uh, increasing, uh, decor item limits outdoors, uh, 300 at level five and 350 at level seven.

[00:20:34] But perhaps most important, the thing we've been waiting for pretty much since like the alpha beta early days of midnight before it was even released. Finally going to have proper outdoor lighting back. They blew this thing up in the beta. They were stacking all these lights on top of each other or the braziers, the dancing, the dancing fire woman ones. I think it just got out of hand and they shut it all down.

[00:21:01] Well, now they're bringing it back and they've kind of figured it out. It looks like where no light will be able to overlap another. And there's kind of some limitations there to make sure that it doesn't blow anybody's servers up. Uh, but it will be so nice. There's just phenomenal outdoor lighting options that were so obvious when we gathered them. So then to not be able to use them in that way has been just stupid and frustrating.

[00:21:28] Uh, so getting that back, uh, will be fantastic along with more than a hundred common decor items getting added to neighborhood vendors. So we're going to get a whole bunch of extra stuff. And the one item out of all of them that I think most people are interested in myself, certainly a square rug. This is what we've, this is what we've been reduced to a square rug that is diable.

[00:21:53] So rather than trying to use the circular rugs that you're, uh, you're kind of moving around and shifting, uh, to cover a floor or a space or to make a backdrop or something or whatever it is, finally have a square rug that will be able to do that. It's not perfectly square. It's got the little kind of, you know, uh, the, the, the little, the gentle curves to it a little bit on the edges, but way better than trying to do the thing with the circular rug. Like, I'm so tired of that trying to fill in these gaps.

[00:22:21] And I've got certainly a big project I'm working on in my house that over time, hopefully I'll be able to do it. But part of that involves covering up the floor and it's super frustrating to do it with the square or the, the, the round one. So to have the square is going to be, uh, fantastic. So lots of changes, lots of updates coming for housing, uh, dragon flight, time walking, some phenomenal mounts, uh, coming out of that. But, uh, there is a, what is it?

[00:22:47] I think it's a black version of, uh, the Bacar mount, uh, which, you know, those are just, those are the good boys. It's the, uh, it's our boy from doing the quest line that I never quite did all the way. Um, you know, like the big dog looking thing, the Bacar, super cool, uh, turbulent time waves. They'll have another great mount, like this ice dragon, uh, looking thing, which is pretty sweet.

[00:23:14] And, and yeah, if that's your jam, enjoy that. Uh, ritual side updates. They're going to get a difficulty up to tier six and you may be able to get some myth dawn crests out of that. It sounds like it's probably going to be pretty difficult, but Hey, myth level gear without ever stepping foot in a rain. That's the jam along with that. It looks like the Loa of fire is going to need some help, uh, hatching some eggs. We'll get a pet out of that.

[00:23:42] We're going to get some troll action in a new, uh, uh, storyline through lore walking. So that'll be important. You notice how they kind of tease these things. Uh, some UI updates and the moth hunting and Herondar. If you do that, there's there, they pretty much reworked the whole system there. And I know I'd seen it when I was collecting them and there was some stuff to get and I got to spend my moral borrow to get them. But, uh, yeah, I'm holding onto my sickies for now. Cause I don't know. They keep readjusting these things.

[00:24:11] And yeah, if you're down in Herondar and you're wondering, do I have all 120 of these things? Well, now you can go to the vendor. There'll be a bar over the head and I'll tell you how many there are. And you can, you can gather these things, but, uh, overall not bad for a, a, a not full content patch. If this is June, that puts us in mid August looking for 12 one.

[00:24:37] So by the time we come back to the next episode on this show, uh, that should coincide right about the time that 12 one is going to drop. Yes. That's intentional. Uh, so hopefully we'll, we'll have a much clearer idea of what's going on at that point. They've been, they've been pretty, pretty scant on details so far past where we've been at.

[00:24:59] There's been a lot of mystery and I think that adds to the confusion about whether or not they're gonna delay some of these things based on the feedback they've got. But with BlizzCon coming up, I feel like there's probably certain marks they have to hit. Uh, cause there might be some big reveals. So, so yeah. So we'll see how this is received.

[00:25:22] A couple new zones, a new raid that people blast through quickly, a borrowed power mechanic that, you know, seems fairly benign. But, um, but if you're looking for something to do, here's some stuff and we'll see if that generates any additional love. Hopefully it's not as buggy as the things have been in the past or they're working hard to make sure these things are in chip shape when they get to our doorsteps. But, um, it's been rough.

[00:25:52] It's been rough. No, no doubt about it. It has not been an easy road as of late. A lot of self-inflicted wounds. And, you know, BlizzCon is the ultimate salve when it comes to trying to repair things with the community. But it would, it would really be nice if there was already in some kind of an upward trajectory from, you know, this, this just doesn't have to be offensive, right?

[00:26:20] Like it, it, it just has to not be utterly broken out of the gate. And if you just do that, it's going to buy you some goodwill. And then you can build on a 12.1, a little bit out a little while. And then BlizzCon, big reveals. Everybody's feeling good. Community's jacked up. And then boom, keep riding that from there. Like that, that, that's what we want. But we'll see you next week. We'll see what we get. We'll see what shape it's in.

[00:26:48] And I'm sure the community will make its, make its opinion known. Uh, once that comes out. Community update. I wanted to just touch on briefly. Last time I was here, had some, some choice words about the direction. Over at wow head. And some of the things that have been going on there.

[00:27:11] And unfortunately things over there don't seem to be getting any better as there have been. Sounds like several rounds of layoffs with riders and staff, uh, over the last handful of months, uh, at the very least.

[00:27:29] And they finally got probably the biggest and most well-known individual tied with wow head, uh, since time immemorial, as far as I can remember. For Kulia, who was pretty much like the main person over at wow head for the longest time.

[00:27:53] And I think she kind of pulled back from being as public facing as she was at one time. Uh, but she was still around. She was still working on the side or she was still part of it in some way. Uh, you know, was really, uh, you know, I don't know what the day-to-day running of things was like, but by all accounts, you know, somebody who was really responsible for the rise of wow head and, and the sort of coalescing of all of the things that.

[00:28:20] Despite the insane amount of ads run on that page, you know, it made, it made the place worth going. Uh, unfortunately, perculia was caught up in these layoffs and was let go, uh, right after we had our last episode about the last time and didn't see it until after, uh, we had recorded. And, you know, I'd always, I'd always, uh, jokingly referred to her as the Gothic sprite over there at wow head.

[00:28:49] And it was, it was always meant to love. I had my own irritations, uh, from time to time, but you know, one of the best times I've ever had at blizzcon was the wow head party probably 10 years ago now, but they had a big party that they put on at the Hilton and it was a good time. And there were lots of people there and everybody seemed to be having fun. Uh, and, and Rommel and I strutting into that place.

[00:29:16] Uh, I've got a great picture with he and I and another guild maid at the time Diablo. And we just, we were having a lot of fun and it was, it was a great party and a great time. And I know that she was responsible for, uh, making sure that that was there. So, you know, my, my best wishes to her and with her experience, I'm sure she'll land somewhere doing something. And she's, she's definitely a unique personality.

[00:29:40] And I, I don't doubt that people will want to bring her into the fold somewhere, but that was a, that was a big piece, uh, that wow head is losing. And kind of considering the direction that they're going in. It sounds like there may be some AI scraping type articles and different stuff. It's, it's looking, it's looking a little dire over there and you know, without them, I don't know what happens.

[00:30:06] They, you know, blizzard has become so enamored with wow head and the sort of secondary services that they can provide. I, you know, I don't know, maybe blizzard buys them. Maybe wow head just becomes part of blizzard might as well be. I mean, it's already pretty close, but, um, but best wishes to peculiar, uh, Alexis.

[00:30:28] I think it's a real name and, uh, it's, it's a shame that, that wow head really is losing a core piece of their identity and not, uh, not looking too good, uh, for the future. Sure. June trading post. We do have one of those. I haven't rated a trading post in a while. It's always a little different when Jess is here because he's just kind of stares at me while I'm doing this. So a little easier to do these when I'm by myself.

[00:30:55] So, uh, some pretty, pretty interesting items. Uh, this, uh, this time around, uh, very, uh, Torrin-esque, uh, vibe on this. Uh, I think that is, that is the, the sun walker.

[00:31:12] Maybe that's kind of the, the word that came to mind when I, I saw some of this, uh, sort of apparel coming through, but right up out of the gates, uh, we have for, I believe 700 trader tender, the dusk painted sun rock. It's pretty good.

[00:31:36] The, the, the sort of, uh, wooden armor that is on this, uh, this rock is like a, you know, kind of like a big bird looking thing. Pretty sweet. Pretty, pretty good. I mean, I don't, I don't know how much of that I'd be rocking, but it is, it is a pretty, a pretty amazing look. Uh, and one, and, and right behind it, of course, for 250 trader tender, they got a pet, uh, the sand scarab. It's the biggest piece of dog shit.

[00:32:06] Keep these bugs away from me. I've said it time and time again. Please don't. I, and anybody that puts one of those things out, you know, no, stop it. It's not right. Uh, the, uh, the spotted black riding goat is back as well. And I, and I've mentioned my lament over that before. It's not really spotted. It just has, you know, lighter fur areas. That's just not the same.

[00:32:30] Uh, and the cold flame Cormero, which is a, you know, chimera, but it's, it's, it's, it's cold and it's flamey and scary looking, but you know what else it is? It's pretty sweet looking. Uh, next up we have the ensemble, another ensemble, dusk runter, runter. I can speak.

[00:32:58] The dusk runners painted battle garb. And what's that running us? That's running us, uh, 500, no, 675 trader tender. Oh, let's go. This also goes with the sun bringers painted battle garb. I'll take them in one go. So it's not my jam, but it's really well done.

[00:33:27] Really well done. Really dig those. Uh, on top of that, we have some, uh, totems, some, some, uh, uh, guiding total sun bringers, guiding totems. And sun bringers torch blade, big two handed axe, uh, the totemic edge, the, uh, dusk runners torch blade, the dusk runners totemic edge. I mean, it's all right. We're almost there. They're almost there.

[00:33:54] There's something, um, a little too homemade looking about them. Just, just, just, just a little bit, just a little bit. But, uh, if, if you do all your activities, what else can you look forward to? Well, you can look forward to a painted, a flame painted sun rock, put it all together. What do you got?

[00:34:27] It's a good month. It's not necessarily my jam. I don't know. There's a whole lot of that. So that I personally will be buying, but the style, the cohesiveness, the detail it's on point. It's really good. So June, June, you did, you did good. All right. Uh, now with, uh, those news items done before we head out the door, you know what we got to do next?

[00:35:02] You damn right. It's Cuban a time. All right. First up from brother Navox. Always good to hear from my, my old co-host friend and brother to you and me. Why do classic people get all bent out of shape and argue that retail is just recycled content. And in the next breath, they're like, it's 2004 again. Let's effing go.

[00:35:30] Honestly, dad, it's probably because they weren't hugged enough as children. I don't know. The classic, the classic, uh, group. I'll say generously. They're, they're a different breed. They, they really are a different breed and, and there's not a lot about it that I feel like these people were loved and there's just something that's missing that they're trying to find. I don't know, uh, what it is, but it is an interesting taste of duality.

[00:36:00] Uh, next up from professor rig, also known as lore bites. And, uh, just as an aside, if you have not seen this gentleman's work, uh, I primarily see it through a tech talk. That's right. I don't do anything on tech talk. I just want, I'm just, I'm just a lurker. I'm a watcher. That's how it goes. Uh, some really funny bits that, uh, this gentleman puts together out there.

[00:36:25] I enjoy them heartily and please don't take my lack of hearts personally or anything like that. Uh, it's just, I, I don't heart anything cause then my likes get too cluttered and then I have to try to show my child later the ones that I'm saving. So, um, I see them all. I love them all. So I'm just going to make that, that blanket statement. They're, they're pretty fucking funny.

[00:36:44] Uh, but here is, uh, he's got, I think he's got two questions that I, first up in the style of a single player instance, think like Delve Nemesis, which of the OG dragon aspects would be the easiest to fight one B one. I didn't think about this. I pulled this up, uh, kind of looking at them and here's what I say. Uh, Notharian is, is out. No, I never want, I know we had to fight him and then it was horrible.

[00:37:15] So no, Notharian's out. Alex Straza and Malygos. And there's no way I'm not, um, I can't, I just, I can't, I just didn't, I can't fight them. I can't, you know why don't nobody needs to ask. I don't know. Uh, uh, leave them be. Uh, Nosedormu, he just, every time I'd throw a punch or start swinging a sword, he would just rewind time.

[00:37:43] And so I just, I'd always be unsheathing. He'd just be edging forever. And at some point you gotta be done. So really it comes down to Malygos. And I feel like he just kind of quit and cry at some point. Like we'd start fighting and he'd go crazy. Like I can't do this anymore. And he'd quit and run away. Um, so Malygos, that's your answer. Next up from Cardboardist. Will you be playing any other games during the summer break? I will. So if so, what are you looking forward to?

[00:38:13] Honestly, Cardboardist. I'm going to do what unfortunately a lot of us end up having to do. Which is finish things. Because the next thing is coming out. And you're like, oh shit, I never finished the one thing. And I got to do that. So I'm all caught up when the next thing comes out. So doom the dark ages. We'll be getting dusted off. I think I only got like a quarter of the way through. It's a much longer game than I realized.

[00:38:42] I thought it was way further in than I was. So I got to dust that off and keep blasting my way through the dark ages. And surprise to all of us, Witcher 3. Just apparently all these years later getting another expansion. And I never finished one of the... There were two expansions already to Witcher 3. And there was one of them I didn't finish. I'm like right in the middle of it. So I got to do that. And I pulled it up the other day. Download it again. And, you know, immediately it's like, yeah, God.

[00:39:11] This really is one of the greatest games of all time. It's so good. But it does take some time and attention. So, yes. That is what the summer... When I have an opportunity. That is likely what it's going to be. Along with doing decor dueling and other things with the homey Rommel in World of Warcraft. Most likely. All right. Next from Shatvan. I love WoW.

[00:39:38] But when do you think our playing time stopped being a reward in itself versus the fear of falling behind? Slash obligation to not fall behind the loot treadmill. For me, I think it's somewhere between BFA and Shadowlands. This whole question sucks because I really enjoy so many aspects of the game. Especially for a solo player with a job and family obligations. There's so much more to do than the heyday of Wrath of the Lich King. But the latest patch was soul crushing for any number of reasons.

[00:40:08] Also, go Nix. Well, I can't say much about that other than what I put in Discord. Which is the Danhausen curse is real. Honestly, as a raider, I always felt that feeling of... You know, I had to be on it all the time. But, um... Yes, there was a reward because it was the raid gear.

[00:40:37] But even when you didn't really need anything, it still always felt like I had to be doing something. Outside of that, truly, truly, truly, to answer this question, I only think it's been in the last... Probably since The War Within. And a lot of that had to do with my own playstyle.

[00:40:59] Where there really wasn't anything that I was focused on as a raid accomplishment. You know, the homie Romulo and I, we do the... We do the delves. And they're, you know, beat the nemesis. And that's kind of the raid boss now. And that is the goal of... I just got all epic the other day for the first time in this expansion.

[00:41:26] And that was four or five days ago when I got bracers that finally were big upgrades. It's just... I have to let that go at some point. I know that it's out there. And... What's the chase? I just want to enjoy the content. If I'm not enjoying the content of one variety, then I'll do something else. And to your point about there being so many aspects of the game, I think that's what I have to lean on.

[00:41:53] Is do the things that I like to do. And if I finish that, then I go do something else. And that's okay. That's okay. You want there to be more. You want to be engrossed in it. You want to feel like, yes, this is the jam all day, all the time. But unfortunately, it's not always like that. So... Yeah, I would say... I would say now, really, no pressure. So... Follow my lead if you want on that. Second question from Professor Rig. I have a question. What's your favorite lore bomb?

[00:42:23] Like, what made you go, holy shit, what? For me, it was finding out that Azeroth isn't just a planet, but a world soul. So I'll take you back, as I often do on this show, back to the Wrath of the Lich King. I had no idea how Icecrown Citadel ended. I was able to avoid all spoilers, all conversation, all cinematics.

[00:42:50] I hadn't rated an Ulduar, so I missed some stuff in there. So, the whole thing with Bolvar becoming the next Lich King was a holy shit moment to me. When that cinematic played, the first time I ever was part of a team that beat Icecrown Citadel, and just watching all of that unfold, it's still one of the biggest holy shit moments.

[00:43:16] When he puts on the helm, and he gets re-encased in the ice, and the Lich King voice starts to take over, you know, tell him only that the Lich King is dead, and Bolvar Ford Dragon died with him. Now go, leave this place, and never return. You know, it's just like, oh shit! Like, that's just... I still get geeked up about it. I fucking love it. But that probably will be tough to top.

[00:43:44] You know, and there's other things out there. If there was anything about Varian. But that was a very satisfying moment. Big lore bomb in that way. So I was very surprised. Very excited about that. Last question here from Snope. If you could retcon any boss encounter out of existence, whether it's a dungeon boss, a raid boss,

[00:44:11] or even a particularly climactic questline boss, which would you choose and why? I had to kind of look on this. Just to make sure. But I'm gonna say Sylvanas Windrunner in Sanctum of Domination. It was too long. It was ridiculously hard. And opinions may vary, and the timelines might vary a little bit.

[00:44:38] But I truly think that this was the boss that broke my long-time raid. My raid team. We'd gotten ahead of the curve all these years. And then we got into Shadowlands. And it just wasn't happening. And that fight. The, you know, 15-minute long fight to get to the end. And somebody fucked up or something happened. It was just...

[00:45:07] It was awful. And I've done it, I think, one time since. Just to see what it was like. Because I wanted to get something out of it. But that sucked. It really sucked. And I think it was part of that trend of them making these super long fights at the end of raids. And it just wasn't for me. And I think it had other consequences that I never got away from.

[00:45:33] So, if there was any in particular, that's the one. That's the one that I would give up. All right. I think we've done enough damage for one episode.
