[00:00:30] Unshackled Fury

[00:01:00] Season's change and war is on the horizon as the next chapter in our beloved franchise gives its first real peak.

[00:01:13] So welcome back for episode 146 of your Uncensored Home for World of Warcraft news and opinions, Unshackled Fury.

[00:01:22] Welcome back again, good sir.

[00:01:32] Yo, hello and welcome everyone to the show.

[00:01:39] The well-traveled man, back in his abode ready to rock, ready to roll.

[00:01:46] I've been traveling a lot recently.

[00:01:51] And it's for a good cause, at least part of it.

[00:01:56] And we're going to talk a lot about this today because we have a big show today, a lot going on in the Warcraft universe and Jez, you were right at the epicenter of a whole bunch of it.

[00:02:08] And I just kind of want to say off the top, you know, this was almost a mini-rage topic.

[00:02:17] I appreciate that Blizzard dropped all of this stuff, all of these interviews and you were part of this, Jez, and this embargo lifted.

[00:02:27] And all these things were going on right during a stretch when I was having days full of beatings and couldn't see shit.

[00:02:34] And you start to panic a little bit when you say, oh my God, there's all this news and it's coming fast and there's all this stuff.

[00:02:40] Like everybody just take a collective breath.

[00:02:43] Like you don't have to digest all of this at once.

[00:02:46] And we're going to try to make this manageable on this first foray because we've got a ways to go.

[00:02:52] Don't feel bad if you didn't get Alpha Access.

[00:02:57] And I know this as somebody who sat at the Amstel light table for many years and was like, look at the VIP crystal table over there.

[00:03:05] And look at these fuckers with their Alpha Access.

[00:03:07] And I'm not going to lie to you, it's cool. It's fun to be in that group.

[00:03:12] But you'll get there. You will get there.

[00:03:16] You will see all this stuff too and it won't even be that long from now.

[00:03:19] So please if you did not get in, do not feel bad.

[00:03:22] Sign up for all the betas, do all that stuff.

[00:03:24] It will be fine.

[00:03:26] So big show.

[00:03:29] Yeah, let's talk about but first jazz.

[00:03:32] I got a surprise topic for you that I did not brief you on.

[00:03:35] Oh snap.

[00:03:37] Oh snap.

[00:03:39] I want to know because we were talking about this.

[00:03:41] I want to know how you felt about night two of WrestleMania 40.

[00:03:46] Oh my God.

[00:03:47] Well, unfortunately, I can't answer that because I still haven't watched it yet.

[00:03:51] Oh, as they are watching it yet.

[00:03:55] I've been so busy.

[00:03:57] I've been traveling and working hard.

[00:04:00] And then, you know, all this warcraft stuff kicking off and also off topic.

[00:04:06] But it's been fallout mania in the game journalism space.

[00:04:14] So I've been playing Fallout 76 again.

[00:04:19] So yeah, I just haven't been able to fit it in.

[00:04:22] I've been watching the fallout show instead.

[00:04:25] Which is legitimately great.

[00:04:27] It's amazing.

[00:04:28] It's so cool.

[00:04:29] I don't know shit about fallout.

[00:04:31] Oh man, it's so good.

[00:04:33] It's so perfect.

[00:04:34] Like as someone who is a fan of fallout, like it's perfect, perfect, perfect as a fan.

[00:04:39] But like my girlfriend isn't a gamer and she loves it too.

[00:04:42] So they really, really threaded that needle between, you know, bringing on new people who've not into fallout.

[00:04:49] Also non gamers and not into it at all.

[00:04:52] And then also hardcore fans of the franchise too.

[00:04:55] So yeah, I'm really, really, really excited about that.

[00:04:59] But we're not here to talk about fallout.

[00:05:01] We're talking about video World of Warcraft video.

[00:05:06] Yeah, not even WrestleMania.

[00:05:08] But you know, for those of you that know, you know, night two was holy shit.

[00:05:14] So I'm yeah, I've heard good things.

[00:05:16] I'm just going to leave it there.

[00:05:18] We'll catch up on it at a later episode.

[00:05:21] So instead let's jump into a metal album of the week and I've been saving this one.

[00:05:30] I've been saving this one.

[00:05:31] People that know me, the homie Rommel especially may have been surprised that it took this long to get to this one.

[00:05:38] But I wanted to wait for something epic, something, you know, one of the big ones, one of the big episodes that we got a lot of cool stuff and something new.

[00:05:48] And so I bring to you one of the seminal albums in their entire discography, Gods of War by the band Manowar.

[00:06:02] This is, in my opinion, the greatest concept album of all time where essentially it is centered on the story of Odin, King of the Gods and the greater Norse mythology.

[00:06:18] And from start to finish, it's metal, it's opera, it's symphonic, it's just this whole blast of everything that's great.

[00:06:28] And it came out in February of 2007.

[00:06:33] I listened to this on repeat when the Wrath Arrow was hot and heavy.

[00:06:41] And there's something about Man of War, Gods of War and Storm Peaks altogether.

[00:06:47] It's just like this great special vibe in my brain that I always hit.

[00:06:52] So with the war within hitting its alpha phase and finally, you know, we're getting into that new chapter, that next chapter.

[00:07:01] I had to unleash this one and there's some great songs in it.

[00:07:07] But the number one song, the greatest song of all time and if you listen to it, you'll know why it's me saying this is The Sons of Odin.

[00:07:17] Where it talks about The Sons of Odin, this whole thing and it's just a great riff all the way through.

[00:07:21] But at the end, it talks about being overcome by Berserker rage.

[00:07:30] And that was, that was, that was where, that was a little thing that got lodged deep in my brain.

[00:07:40] So when, you know, the moniker Berserker was something I was using and having to come up with things and like Berserker rage.

[00:07:47] You know, it's not exclusive to this song but just that concept was lodged very deep.

[00:07:53] And so I have long enjoyed this album.

[00:07:55] It's a great listen, front to back and then there's a great bonus song, Die for Metal.

[00:08:01] You know, they talk about protecting the honor of metal at all costs and all these things.

[00:08:05] And it's, it is ridiculous admittedly.

[00:08:08] But it is, it's wonderful.

[00:08:10] So, Jez, do you have any, do you have any passing familiarity with even Manowar as a band?

[00:08:17] I do not actually.

[00:08:19] I know, I know of them.

[00:08:20] I think one of my friends is into them but I haven't released to them so I will put that on my list.

[00:08:26] They are, they are a power metal like foundation.

[00:08:33] Gitches.

[00:08:34] Not usually into that kind of metal but I'll still give it a chance.

[00:08:38] I was listening to Death Tones when I was travelling a lot.

[00:08:44] You know, I don't know how you feel about the old Death Tones and I know some people don't consider them to be real metal or whatever.

[00:08:52] I think some people call it all band.

[00:08:54] Oh really?

[00:08:55] That's cool.

[00:08:57] So, yeah, I was listening to the latest album, Oms, I think it's called.

[00:09:02] Because I hadn't really checked it out again.

[00:09:04] It's one of them in the backlog like WrestleMania pot day two in the backlog.

[00:09:09] So, you know, when I travel and sometimes I use catch upon shows like I watch Cyberpunk Edge Run as well as traveling for the first time recently.

[00:09:17] I was listening to Death Tones Oms because that came out a few years ago.

[00:09:21] I hadn't really given it a proper listen but it was very, very good.

[00:09:24] But I'll check out Man of War for sure.

[00:09:26] The other album I might suggest is a sub A sub B to this is Warriors of the World which also is a phenomenal album.

[00:09:36] Call to Arms, Great Song.

[00:09:39] There's all kinds of good stuff out there.

[00:09:41] Very, you know, it's very bro macho shit but it's just don't take it too seriously is what I would say.

[00:09:51] It's just it's fun. It's a good ride, you know, pump you up, you know, you're getting ready to run through a brick wall.

[00:09:56] Good shit.

[00:09:57] So, and yes, if you think it's metal, if it gets you into metal then it's metal.

[00:10:03] You know, I think there's a lot of gatekeeping in the metal community and I have been guilty of this in the past but I think that

[00:10:09] If you listen to something and even if it's on the periphery ride of the metal family tree which is far and wide.

[00:10:17] You're in. We're all in it.

[00:10:19] We're all in it together.

[00:10:21] Remember when I was a kid and people used to argue over whether Linkin Park was metal or not.

[00:10:27] Yes, I think that still goes on today.

[00:10:31] Yeah, I think it does.

[00:10:33] The answer is still is it really my as long as you enjoy it? That's the main thing.

[00:10:38] That is 100%. So there is your metal album of the week.

[00:10:44] Gods of war, a man of war, one of my favorites and hope you enjoy it.

[00:10:49] And believe it or not, Jess, I have a kind of a related rage topic for this week and something that even if you don't feel as

[00:11:01] passionately as I do about it, there may be a wider issue at play that you may also share.

[00:11:08] So why don't we go ahead and jump into the rage portion of the show?

[00:11:21] Let's talk about something that is a topic that is widely debated amongst the community as to its

[00:11:30] merits, whether good or bad.

[00:11:33] But something that for me was distilled very finely into this one specific point.

[00:11:41] Transactions, microtransactions that we have lots of them in the store.

[00:11:47] And there has been something I do today.

[00:11:51] A mining have kind of been keeping my eye on.

[00:11:54] And lo and behold, at the start of this month, I thought it was a great April Fool's joke.

[00:12:02] And I even said so on Twitter because why would they do this to me?

[00:12:07] But it is true that the gladiators ragged armor, the armor worn by the gladiator, Logosh himself, we know as the great Varian Wren,

[00:12:22] has been available for sale for $20 on the store.

[00:12:30] Now, I just, I'm not afraid to say it, I'm a whore for a lot of this stuff.

[00:12:37] I will absolutely just do whatever it takes to get some of these things.

[00:12:43] And when I looked at this and I'm sure a lot of people saw this with like, oh, berserker all over that.

[00:12:49] And I think even a moment till I thought, I'll plunk 20 bucks down for that.

[00:12:54] Which is I have, I have abstained, I have refrained.

[00:12:59] I will not be purchasing this out of spite.

[00:13:04] I am finally on the anti-microtransaction train because I can't believe that they would keep this from me for $20.

[00:13:15] You know what I can get for $20?

[00:13:17] I don't even know what I can get for $20.

[00:13:19] I can get this for $20, but I am not paying $20 for something that they admittedly say will be in the trading post at some point in the future.

[00:13:29] Yeah, the fact that it's going to be the trading, I mean, at least they're transparent about that, right?

[00:13:35] At least they are transparent about that.

[00:13:38] But you know, of all the sets that they give away, and we are going to do some April trading post ratings later,

[00:13:44] of all the sets that they make available, I cannot believe the one that I wanted was the one that they are keeping from me at a cost.

[00:13:55] It's unbelievable. How could they do this to me, Jess?

[00:13:58] I don't know. I think maybe they'll listen to the show and they thought that'd be funny for a rage segment.

[00:14:05] Let's whack it in there.

[00:14:08] So maybe...

[00:14:09] They got it.

[00:14:10] Yeah.

[00:14:11] Sons of bitches.

[00:14:13] Can't believe this. Never going to play this game again.

[00:14:17] That's not true.

[00:14:18] And other empty threats.

[00:14:22] What do you stand on the whole store in micro transactions? Do you care? Does this make a difference to you at all, or is it just...

[00:14:29] Man.

[00:14:31] It kind of sucks, right? Because I want to be someone who's in tune with the community, right?

[00:14:39] I write about games, and I'm acutely aware of that. Game journalists are maligned in some quarters of the internet.

[00:14:48] So my lovely...my instinct would be to join the hate train and all that kind of stuff.

[00:14:57] But unfortunately, as I've gotten deeper into the world of learning how all this stuff works,

[00:15:05] discovering how the sausage works, I'm a little bit more sympathetic to this kind of stuff recently.

[00:15:11] And I kind of became aware that costs have gone up a lot over the last few years.

[00:15:18] But the overall gaming audience hasn't really grown.

[00:15:22] There's a lot of competition from time vacuums like TikTok and all that kind of stuff.

[00:15:29] So while costs have kept going up, so you know, electricity costs and inflation and wages to rise in line with inflation and all that kind of stuff.

[00:15:39] All the boring stuff that no one wants to acknowledge is a thing, right?

[00:15:44] And just be like, it's just pure greed. It's pure greed!

[00:15:49] And yes, there is elements of that.

[00:15:52] But I also think there's also an element of trying to get blood out of a stone really.

[00:15:58] And they could do things like what Spotify does and put up the monthly subscription every year.

[00:16:04] And to be fair, I think they've only put up the World of Warcraft subscription a couple of times.

[00:16:09] And when adjusted for inflation, they probably should have put it up more than they have done.

[00:16:14] So instead of doing that, they've gone for microtransactions.

[00:16:18] So it's kind of like, you know, which do you prefer?

[00:16:21] Do you prefer the increased subscription fee every year like Netflix and YouTube?

[00:16:26] Do you prefer optional microtransactions which you don't necessarily have to purchase, you know?

[00:16:32] It's kind of one of them.

[00:16:35] I'd love to just be there with everyone else hating on them, but I also kind of feel like, oh man, I kind of get it.

[00:16:42] I kind of get what they're doing it.

[00:16:44] But we've won World of Warcraft to maintain the quality that it has and grow even then they have to figure out ways to make more money, unfortunately.

[00:16:55] So I think what I hear you saying is that by long asking for Logosh's gladiator armor that this is my fault,

[00:17:04] that I finally convince somebody to spend time and effort and actual human hours building this.

[00:17:11] And if I wanted it, I probably have to put my money where my mouth is.

[00:17:15] Yeah, maybe. Maybe.

[00:17:18] I just bought some house plants in Fallout 76 to decorate my virtual shack.

[00:17:28] So I'm just... we buy that stuff for our houses in real life, you know?

[00:17:34] Like a real life house plant, a virtual metaverse house plant.

[00:17:37] What's the difference?

[00:17:38] Some nice clothes for your avatar in World of Warcraft?

[00:17:41] How much would that... if you bought that Logosh outfit in real life, it probably set you back $200, not $20.

[00:17:49] So you know, it's technically a bargain in a way.

[00:17:54] So you're saying that I could spend money, I could save money by spending money?

[00:17:59] Exactly.

[00:18:00] And like...

[00:18:01] Oh!

[00:18:02] You know, if you went to start... how much is Starbuck's gonna set you back these days?

[00:18:06] Like probably about $20, you know?

[00:18:08] Yeah.

[00:18:09] So I went to McDonald's with my girlfriend recently and I was shocked how expensive it's gotten.

[00:18:13] And that's just McDonald's, you know?

[00:18:15] Like a nice Logosh costume, you end up... you get that for life.

[00:18:19] If you can show that to your grandkids.

[00:18:21] Yes! Yes! That Nitro Cold Brew I got last week is not gonna last. It did not.

[00:18:27] Exactly.

[00:18:28] I think you're making a persuasive argument.

[00:18:31] Well, maybe after the show I might find $20 in an old wallet somewhere and I might throw that down.

[00:18:38] When it comes up on the trading post I'll just... I don't know.

[00:18:42] Laugh at myself, I suppose.

[00:18:43] Yeah.

[00:18:44] Well I didn't buy it because I'm not a huge fan of it but...

[00:18:48] It is very orky though.

[00:18:50] It's got like this, you know, cord colors because he was a gladiator, right?

[00:18:55] It's all spikes and you know, this looks like something that...

[00:18:58] I don't know, Garrosh might have worn.

[00:19:00] Yeah, it does.

[00:19:01] Right in that thread.

[00:19:03] So hmm.

[00:19:04] But it's my man.

[00:19:06] I guess I gotta back him up because that's all I have left of him.

[00:19:08] So.

[00:19:09] Well, and his son. We'll talk about that.

[00:19:11] So with that out of the way...

[00:19:16] We got big alpha news to talk about and Jesuit right in the middle of it so let's jump into our news.

[00:19:23] You know one of the things I love about the dynamic of this show nowadays is there is this balance between

[00:19:41] the sort of Britishness and Americanness.

[00:19:49] The two sides that we bring together and a parent and epitomized in no better way than right before we recorded.

[00:19:59] You're grabbing tea and I'm grabbing an energy drink.

[00:20:02] It's just, you know, there's just something about those two halves of the whole coming together that I find quite fantastic.

[00:20:10] But here we go.

[00:20:12] Alpha, war within alpha, all the rage.

[00:20:16] If you've been anywhere near the Warcraft space in any way shape or form over the last several days, you can't escape it.

[00:20:25] And where it really started was there was a big event in London that some folks were invited to and some other folks showed up at and some things happened.

[00:20:38] And Jes, you were the man on the street. You were there live and in person.

[00:20:44] And there is no better person to tell us how that went down and what happened and what that was like than yourself.

[00:20:51] So if you wouldn't mind as we sort of begin this war within era, alpha specifically, what was it?

[00:21:00] What was it like and what can you tell us about it?

[00:21:03] Well, it was my first ever Blizzard event ever.

[00:21:07] You know, I've been covering gaming for a long time.

[00:21:10] So I've been doing this professionally now for eight years, I think something like seven years.

[00:21:17] And I've done lots of cool stuff.

[00:21:19] I've done E3.

[00:21:21] I've been to Microsoft headquarters.

[00:21:23] I've been to CD Projekt Red.

[00:21:25] I've been to the coalition in Canada.

[00:21:28] I've done a lot of really cool stuff.

[00:21:30] I've been to Rare in England, for Sea of Thieves and all kinds of stuff.

[00:21:35] But I've never done a Blizzard event.

[00:21:37] So every now and then I start thinking to myself, is this it?

[00:21:40] Now I've done everything.

[00:21:41] It's my career peaked.

[00:21:42] And every now and then something new happens, something fresh.

[00:21:45] And it's like, oh no, I've still got gas in the tank.

[00:21:47] So I was very, very excited to go to a Blizzard event.

[00:21:50] And it was absolutely incredible.

[00:21:54] It's rare that I've seen this kind of money thrown at an event like this.

[00:22:01] So they're going quite hard on it.

[00:22:03] So it was in London.

[00:22:05] It was at an events center, Victoria in the heart of London,

[00:22:13] in this big, big, old fashioned kind of hall.

[00:22:18] And they had huge key art for the game,

[00:22:22] which is like Varian and Illyria Windrunner, Jaina.

[00:22:26] And Anduin.

[00:22:27] Yeah, and Anduin and Thrall was there.

[00:22:30] And they had the dry ice flowing through the key art

[00:22:37] and some plastic flora fauna knocking off.

[00:22:42] And it was really cool to come in.

[00:22:45] I was like, oh my God.

[00:22:46] Because for a time I was thinking these kind of press events

[00:22:50] were going to be a relic of the past now.

[00:22:52] Because obviously during COVID none of that could happen.

[00:22:55] There was no press events.

[00:22:56] There was no travel.

[00:22:57] And then E3 itself shut down completely.

[00:23:03] So I was just kind of thinking they're just going to do everything remotely now.

[00:23:07] And they're just going to focus on influences and go and direct to YouTube

[00:23:10] and stuff like that.

[00:23:11] But no, apparently we're still doing press.

[00:23:13] We're still limping on.

[00:23:15] So there was a lot of British and Western Europe press there

[00:23:22] from all over Europe really to come and check out the world

[00:23:28] within the first people outside of Blizzard to try out the Alpha really.

[00:23:33] And then obviously that gave access to other influences.

[00:23:37] Remotely I've seen some people like Kalamazie and Touchpad Warrior

[00:23:43] have been playing the Alpha as well and all that kind of stuff.

[00:23:47] So there was a lot of people there all over the world

[00:23:50] checking out the World With Injury event.

[00:23:53] And so they had all these PC stations start up

[00:23:57] so we could go and play and sit down with Horden Alliance chairs

[00:24:00] from Secret Lab, which are very nice.

[00:24:01] That's not a plug by the way.

[00:24:03] Although they are good chairs.

[00:24:04] I'm sitting on one right now.

[00:24:06] It's a Minecraft chair, not a Warcraft chair.

[00:24:10] But the Warcraft chairs are very, very nice if pricey.

[00:24:15] And then we sat down and Holly Longdale and Maria Hamilton

[00:24:20] came out onto the stage and said welcome to the event

[00:24:24] and we've got a message from Eon Hazy Kostas.

[00:24:32] And the Tina, the art director, I can't remember her name off the top of my head.

[00:24:39] Is it Tina? I can't remember.

[00:24:41] But anyway, the video for that talk is now up on YouTube I believe,

[00:24:46] at least part of it is.

[00:24:48] So they were talking about the vision for the War With In

[00:24:52] and then we got some group interviews

[00:24:54] and then we played the War With In Alpha for a while

[00:24:56] and then I did one-on-one interview with Maria

[00:24:58] and a group interview with Holly Longdale,

[00:25:00] talked about all kinds of things.

[00:25:03] Some of those interviews will come out next week

[00:25:05] on Winderscentral.com

[00:25:06] but we can talk about them here as well,

[00:25:09] which is all good.

[00:25:12] And yeah, it was an amazing time

[00:25:15] and also I took some pictures with a replica Varian sword, Shalaman.

[00:25:20] You did not.

[00:25:21] I did.

[00:25:22] The pictures that will never see the light of day, I might add.

[00:25:26] I have got this. Come on, you've got to show at least me.

[00:25:30] I mean, I'll burn it out, but that's the coolest thing I've ever heard.

[00:25:34] Yeah, they had a huge replica of Shalaman there.

[00:25:37] It was plastic but it felt weighty and real, you know.

[00:25:43] High quality, amazing.

[00:25:45] And I was sitting there thinking they should probably sell this.

[00:25:47] It's very, very good.

[00:25:49] They also had...

[00:25:50] Yeah, they should.

[00:25:51] Like proper prop sword.

[00:25:53] I suppose that the studio's used for reference.

[00:25:56] They also had the Collexus Edition,

[00:25:58] which is now...

[00:25:59] You can check that out now on their website again.

[00:26:02] Very expensive.

[00:26:03] It's 200...

[00:26:05] It's 230 euros in the UK

[00:26:09] and about...

[00:26:11] So that's about $250

[00:26:13] and a good $70 of that is shipping.

[00:26:16] It's crazy.

[00:26:18] Jesus.

[00:26:19] It's really expensive but I'm also like thinking,

[00:26:22] I kind of want it though.

[00:26:24] Because it's a badass storm dwarf on a griffin.

[00:26:28] It's like iconic Warcraft 3 kind of dwarf unit.

[00:26:34] I just kind of really want it,

[00:26:37] but I've already pre-ordered the digital deluxe,

[00:26:40] which has all the digital stuff in it.

[00:26:42] So I'd be buying it just for the art book and the statue,

[00:26:45] which is kind of overkill,

[00:26:47] but I'm also a sucker, you know.

[00:26:49] I'm one of them.

[00:26:51] I was born yesterday.

[00:26:56] So yeah, I might end up getting that,

[00:26:58] but yeah, it was a cool event.

[00:27:00] It was really awesome, really fun

[00:27:02] and I got to check out the game

[00:27:04] and you've been playing it as well at your end, right?

[00:27:07] Yep.

[00:27:08] Yeah, I've been in there

[00:27:10] and yeah, I definitely want to talk about

[00:27:13] our hands-on experiences

[00:27:18] and kind of what that's been like.

[00:27:21] Now, you said you have two interviews

[00:27:25] that you've got that are going to come out on Windows Central.

[00:27:28] Is that correct?

[00:27:29] That is correct.

[00:27:31] I don't have the transcript in front of me

[00:27:34] because I need to transcribe it,

[00:27:36] but I can talk about some of the gist of it

[00:27:39] from what I can remember anyway.

[00:27:41] So they were group interviews,

[00:27:44] so everyone had different sort of agenda

[00:27:46] and questions I wanted to ask.

[00:27:48] And one of the people asked about

[00:27:51] the sort of dynamic events

[00:27:53] they've been doing, like Plunderstorm

[00:27:56] and the Mop Remix.

[00:27:58] And they're sort of discourse that

[00:28:00] they're timed events and they're limited

[00:28:02] and they're sort of designed to

[00:28:04] FOMO people to subscribe for a month.

[00:28:07] You know, the artificial FOMO stuff

[00:28:10] and all that kind of back and forth

[00:28:14] about that kind of discourse.

[00:28:17] But Holly was adamant that

[00:28:19] these aren't designed around FOMO,

[00:28:22] it's just that they don't expect people

[00:28:25] to keep playing them for a long period of time

[00:28:27] and obviously with the Battle Royale

[00:28:29] you need the players to be in there

[00:28:31] to actually start a game.

[00:28:33] And they're made by the holiday team.

[00:28:36] So this is the team that usually works

[00:28:39] on holidays like the Easter event

[00:28:41] and Brewfest and stuff like that.

[00:28:44] So they've been given access to new technology

[00:28:47] that allows them to quite quickly spin up

[00:28:50] these kind of mini-games.

[00:28:52] And Plunderstorm is basically an experiment

[00:28:54] out of that team.

[00:28:56] And once the renowned tracks completed

[00:28:59] they don't expect people to keep playing it

[00:29:01] so rather than try and support the game

[00:29:04] with an extra renowned track

[00:29:06] and try and keep people playing it

[00:29:08] they've just decided to make it a limited event

[00:29:10] and then they'll do something else instead

[00:29:12] and she was like, she looked visibly hurt

[00:29:15] by the idea that they would want to do

[00:29:18] something sort of past artificial FOMO

[00:29:22] mechanics through to the game.

[00:29:24] So she looked mortified at that assertion

[00:29:27] to be honest.

[00:29:28] So I believe her

[00:29:30] and it did kind of make sense

[00:29:32] because we've seen Battle Royale modes die

[00:29:36] from lack of players.

[00:29:38] The Battlefield 5 Battle Royale mode

[00:29:41] I think it was called Firestorm

[00:29:43] if I remember correctly or something like that

[00:29:45] that died very quickly because

[00:29:47] there weren't enough people to get a game going.

[00:29:50] It was Battle Royale, it was the hinge on having

[00:29:52] lots of players in them right.

[00:29:54] So that was one topic of discussion

[00:29:56] but one thing I bought up to both Maria and Holly

[00:30:00] and this is like, this is a drum

[00:30:02] that I've been banging a lot is like

[00:30:04] I really want to see Blizzard and World of Warcraft

[00:30:07] invest in the new player experience

[00:30:09] because I think it's unhealthy for the game

[00:30:13] to not have a good new player experience

[00:30:15] and right now I think the new player experience

[00:30:17] is absolutely awful.

[00:30:19] I've tried to get people into World of Warcraft

[00:30:21] many, many times but like doing

[00:30:24] Exile's Reach is bland and boring

[00:30:27] and then going into Balfour Azeroth

[00:30:29] is also bland and boring

[00:30:31] like in the middle of a big storyline

[00:30:33] where like you don't feel connected to your character

[00:30:35] and your race or your faction

[00:30:37] in the same way that going through

[00:30:39] two useful glades or Einford

[00:30:41] or you know doing that sort of

[00:30:43] I'm part of the Alliance or I'm part of the Horde

[00:30:46] quest chain from Cataclysm even.

[00:30:49] I think that's a better experience for a new player

[00:30:52] than Battle for Azeroth is

[00:30:55] and we talked a little bit about that

[00:30:57] and I was kind of teased out of her

[00:30:59] that Balomet is designed to be a new...

[00:31:02] We've talked about this, yes!

[00:31:04] My theory that Balomet was a new player starting zone

[00:31:07] for elves and that they're going to do

[00:31:09] they're going to gradually develop new starting zones

[00:31:11] for all the different races

[00:31:13] but she kind of looked like

[00:31:16] that wasn't the case

[00:31:18] Oh

[00:31:19] and I was just barking up the wrong tree

[00:31:22] kind of

[00:31:24] but I don't know she might just be a really good actress

[00:31:27] and maybe throw me off the scent

[00:31:29] but I could kind of see from a facial expression

[00:31:31] when I said that's a new starting zone, right?

[00:31:34] Right?

[00:31:35] You know she didn't sort of

[00:31:37] laugh it off, she looked like

[00:31:39] really? They really think that

[00:31:41] but maybe I was completely wrong about that

[00:31:44] but she did agree

[00:31:46] that they do need to invest more in the new player experience

[00:31:48] and Maria told me that

[00:31:50] one of the things they're doing

[00:31:52] and I think this was already out there anyway

[00:31:54] new players will now start from Dragonflight

[00:31:57] instead of

[00:31:59] Battle for Azeroth

[00:32:01] so like they'll get a more

[00:32:04] contemporary storyline

[00:32:06] with more updated mechanics

[00:32:08] and better graphics and all that kind of stuff

[00:32:10] and also because there's like a little time skip

[00:32:14] before Dragonflight it's not right in the middle of a story

[00:32:17] it's like a new contain story

[00:32:19] so I do think that would be a better experience

[00:32:21] but still it's a far cry

[00:32:23] from like going to

[00:32:26] graduating from Tuberous Four Glades

[00:32:28] and going to Silver Pine for the first time

[00:32:30] and then on to Hillsbrad

[00:32:32] and then to Ratty Highlands

[00:32:34] all those nostalgic sort of

[00:32:36] iron part, the Forsaken

[00:32:38] quests, like all those quests

[00:32:40] all the way through to Hillsbrad

[00:32:42] all revolved around being a asshole

[00:32:44] Forsaken and poisoning the Alliance

[00:32:47] and smacking the Hillsbrad farmers

[00:32:49] with a shovel

[00:32:50] and those quests were really dark

[00:32:52] come and think of it

[00:32:53] they don't do anything like that anymore

[00:32:55] but it made me feel connected to

[00:32:57] the Forsaken and the Horde

[00:32:58] it made me feel invested in the game and my character

[00:33:00] and nothing in WoW does that now

[00:33:02] and I also talked about like

[00:33:04] you know how like the Alliance and Horde

[00:33:07] are all buddy-buddy now

[00:33:08] and that's got the faction was kind of

[00:33:11] robbed the game of some of its identity I think

[00:33:14] and the idea of

[00:33:17] faction pride and all that kind of stuff

[00:33:19] and that's getting eroded

[00:33:21] in the name of gameplay mechanics

[00:33:23] and I think it is a good thing that

[00:33:25] Alliance and Horde players can

[00:33:27] guild and group up

[00:33:28] but it seems to be coming at the cost

[00:33:30] of the game's flavour

[00:33:32] and she actually agreed

[00:33:34] and she said like you are going to see

[00:33:36] in the future that

[00:33:37] there will be some of that tension

[00:33:39] between the Alliance and Horde

[00:33:41] still there

[00:33:42] and Maria Hammerton even said

[00:33:46] that they haven't closed the door

[00:33:48] on eventually going back to

[00:33:50] full blown action war again

[00:33:53] having a fifth war in the future

[00:33:55] because individual Horde and Alliance players

[00:33:59] might work together as mercenaries or whatever

[00:34:01] but the broader faction conflicts

[00:34:04] might happen regardless

[00:34:06] so there was a lot of cool stuff

[00:34:09] that was mentioned and talked about

[00:34:11] and I'll release the interviews in full

[00:34:13] on Monday probably

[00:34:15] Monday the 22nd

[00:34:17] I don't know if this podcast will go out

[00:34:19] before then or after but

[00:34:21] it should be about the same time

[00:34:23] yeah it should be about the time so we can go for that

[00:34:25] but yeah it was a cool event and then

[00:34:27] obviously it played the alpha a fair bit

[00:34:29] right on and you know I

[00:34:31] of course have seen

[00:34:33] along with a lot of other folks

[00:34:35] other interviews that have

[00:34:37] already come out and been posted

[00:34:39] and having

[00:34:41] having briefly chatted with Holly

[00:34:44] at Blizzcon

[00:34:46] I'm

[00:34:48] glad that you got the chance to

[00:34:50] meet with her as well because she does seem like

[00:34:53] one of the most genuine

[00:34:56] humans

[00:34:58] oh yeah she's awesome

[00:34:59] you can tell how passionate she is for the game

[00:35:02] and like she really really

[00:35:05] bleeds Blizzard

[00:35:07] and I think World of Warcraft

[00:35:09] desperately needs someone like that

[00:35:11] running the show now

[00:35:13] honestly that's why I quite like

[00:35:15] Mikey Bara as well because I know

[00:35:17] Mike is a hardcore world player

[00:35:19] you know mythic raider kind of guy

[00:35:21] and I think it's always good

[00:35:23] when there is someone that into that actual game

[00:35:25] and not just

[00:35:27] you know the numbers are important too

[00:35:29] and obviously the business aspects are really important as well

[00:35:31] but I think it's also like

[00:35:33] having someone who's truly passionate about

[00:35:35] the game itself is also

[00:35:37] you know a boon for the game overall right

[00:35:40] so um but yeah having someone like Holly there is just awesome

[00:35:44] yeah she's

[00:35:46] she's phenomenal and I know that

[00:35:48] there was an interview already released with her

[00:35:51] by Mr. GM I think that was something that he put out on

[00:35:55] YouTube might have come out on Twitch as well

[00:35:58] and she talked about a few things

[00:36:00] lessons learned from Dragonflight

[00:36:03] and Plunderstorm I thought

[00:36:05] I thought it was kind of interesting that she admitted that they

[00:36:08] sort of overplayed their hand in

[00:36:10] keeping that a secret

[00:36:12] and hyping up Plunderstorm and

[00:36:14] maybe the next time they do it a little bit differently

[00:36:17] I should have just leaked it shouldn't I

[00:36:19] and then people wouldn't have been

[00:36:21] people yeah but then

[00:36:23] I probably wouldn't have been invited

[00:36:25] that would have been the quickest verification of an invite probably

[00:36:28] in a history of Blizzard Press Tour

[00:36:30] but you know hey

[00:36:32] you had done it I guess

[00:36:34] people wouldn't have been over-hyped for you then though

[00:36:37] I would have been doing them a favor right

[00:36:39] right yeah maybe no

[00:36:41] there you go

[00:36:43] well now that your best friends with Holly you know maybe you can

[00:36:46] work that out but

[00:36:48] yeah she also talked a little bit about in that interview

[00:36:50] sort of the

[00:36:52] the flavor of war within being more casual friendly

[00:36:55] and we'll talk about an aspect of that

[00:36:57] in a little bit but

[00:36:59] along with them

[00:37:01] along with Holly's interview there

[00:37:03] I know there were plenty of others

[00:37:05] Taliesin and Evatel

[00:37:07] they've been all over the place

[00:37:09] Maria Hamilton was one of their interviews as well

[00:37:11] and they talked about the story

[00:37:13] and a few other things

[00:37:15] and

[00:37:17] first I want to ask did you get a chance

[00:37:19] I think I may have already asked this

[00:37:21] but just to just refresh

[00:37:23] did you get a chance

[00:37:25] to mix it up with any of our fellow

[00:37:27] content creators over there any of these

[00:37:29] YouTubers and other people that we

[00:37:31] that we see or know did you

[00:37:33] did you get a chance to

[00:37:35] chop it up with them at all? Nope

[00:37:37] not at all

[00:37:39] did you avoid them or were they

[00:37:41] just not around

[00:37:43] everyone was just busy I think

[00:37:45] everyone was just busy focusing on what they had to do

[00:37:47] but I didn't recognize anyone

[00:37:49] and I doubt anyone recognized me

[00:37:51] I wore my windows central mixer hoodie

[00:37:53] do you remember mixer

[00:37:55] so I was

[00:37:57] a mixer partner and I got a windows

[00:37:59] central mixer

[00:38:01] hoodie and I wear it

[00:38:03] still because it's so

[00:38:05] comfortable but I bet

[00:38:07] people thought I was trying to be anachronistic

[00:38:09] or ironic I wasn't I was just trying to be warm

[00:38:11] it's just trying to be comfortable

[00:38:13] yeah

[00:38:15] for the

[00:38:17] oh my goodness well

[00:38:19] I guess the part 2

[00:38:21] of that question is did you

[00:38:23] did you plug the podcast with anybody

[00:38:25] I gotta know

[00:38:27] I did

[00:38:29] I talked to a lot of

[00:38:31] PR people and I was like

[00:38:33] we got a walker podcast these days

[00:38:35] you know

[00:38:37] podcasts are still a thing not just streamers

[00:38:39] you gotta beg that throne

[00:38:41] well God bless you Jess

[00:38:43] appreciate that and let's get

[00:38:45] to I think

[00:38:47] the biggest thing in my mind anyway

[00:38:49] that came out of all of this press

[00:38:51] and all of the alpha so far

[00:38:53] which was the big

[00:38:55] beginning

[00:38:57] to the story

[00:38:59] that you

[00:39:01] thank I bless your heart

[00:39:03] you told me like the night before

[00:39:05] because all these embargoes are about to break

[00:39:07] what

[00:39:09] this big event was and I was

[00:39:11] like no way

[00:39:13] this can't be true but it appears

[00:39:15] and if you're trying to

[00:39:17] avoid everything I mean

[00:39:19] good luck because

[00:39:21] you can't

[00:39:23] this is a known thing I think we're supposed to

[00:39:25] know all this stuff

[00:39:27] is that in somehow

[00:39:29] some way

[00:39:31] Dalaran is destroyed

[00:39:33] like

[00:39:35] completely and utterly destroyed

[00:39:37] broken up on

[00:39:39] the shores of the new

[00:39:41] land that we are going to

[00:39:43] and it also appears

[00:39:45] that we may

[00:39:47] lose

[00:39:49] one of the great warcraft characters

[00:39:51] Katgar

[00:39:53] that to me is

[00:39:55] some insane shit

[00:39:57] Jez I can't believe we're blowing up another

[00:39:59] capital city

[00:40:01] I got theories about this

[00:40:03] let's hear them

[00:40:05] I think there might be

[00:40:07] leading us along a misdirection

[00:40:09] oh

[00:40:11] because in the first

[00:40:13] area which is

[00:40:15] what's it called now

[00:40:17] Kazakar or Dorn

[00:40:19] the continent is called

[00:40:21] Kazalgar

[00:40:23] and the starting area is called

[00:40:25] Isle of Dorn

[00:40:27] and Isle of Dorn

[00:40:29] is the surface

[00:40:31] capital of

[00:40:33] the earthen

[00:40:35] and they're under attack by

[00:40:37] our old buddies the nerubians

[00:40:41] and it starts off with

[00:40:43] you digging yourself out of some rubble

[00:40:45] and

[00:40:47] in the midst of this war

[00:40:49] well this little skirmish between

[00:40:51] the nerubians

[00:40:53] and Jaina and Thrall

[00:40:55] and a bunch of Dalaran people

[00:40:57] who are

[00:40:59] squashed

[00:41:01] beneath rubble

[00:41:03] I don't know about it, I got a theory man

[00:41:05] I got a theory about this

[00:41:07] I don't know if it's all of Dalaran

[00:41:09] because the debris field

[00:41:11] is quite small

[00:41:13] and it's the majority of Dalaran

[00:41:15] so our partner is wondering

[00:41:17] is it just part of Dalaran

[00:41:19] that got blown off

[00:41:21] because there's only one spire

[00:41:23] there's only a smallish debris field

[00:41:25] so maybe it's not the whole of Dalaran

[00:41:27] that's destroyed

[00:41:29] and maybe Blizzard just wants us to think

[00:41:31] it's all of Dalaran that's destroyed

[00:41:33] because one of the things they did tell me was

[00:41:35] they're not showing

[00:41:37] the actual full intro

[00:41:39] to anyone until launch day

[00:41:41] so that won't be in the alpha

[00:41:45] and none of the proceeding

[00:41:47] quests

[00:41:49] will be in the alpha, the alpha test is

[00:41:51] literally just for the Isle of Dawn

[00:41:53] after you've done

[00:41:55] the starting quests in your faction city

[00:41:57] which they're not going to show to anyone

[00:41:59] that's going to be completely top secret and encrypted

[00:42:01] which I think is really cool actually

[00:42:03] and also similarly with

[00:42:05] KADGAR

[00:42:07] otherwise known as Dadgar affectionately

[00:42:09] so in some circles

[00:42:11] Dadgar is

[00:42:13] the only hints that we've got about this

[00:42:15] is that

[00:42:17] in some cutscene text

[00:42:19] which the cutscenes aren't implemented yet either

[00:42:21] but like the cutscenes have descriptions

[00:42:23] attached to them

[00:42:25] so like the devs can get an idea

[00:42:27] of what's supposed to be going on

[00:42:29] as they're designing quests and stuff right

[00:42:31] and it says like through all in Jaina

[00:42:33] take a moment to remember KADGAR

[00:42:35] or something along those lines

[00:42:37] so we haven't

[00:42:39] exactly seen a body

[00:42:41] so maybe

[00:42:43] maybe

[00:42:45] he survives the attack

[00:42:47] and they just want us to think he's dead

[00:42:49] maybe

[00:42:51] well then maybe I could be completely

[00:42:53] off base like with Balomet

[00:42:55] and maybe in fact we see

[00:42:57] KADGAR get

[00:42:59] incinerated into a dust cloud like your boy

[00:43:01] Valet Varian

[00:43:03] that is my

[00:43:05] prevailing theory at the moment

[00:43:07] having seen the

[00:43:09] interviews and read through

[00:43:11] the articles and now having played

[00:43:13] through that scenario myself

[00:43:15] this very much feels like

[00:43:17] like a self sacrifice

[00:43:19] type situation

[00:43:21] obviously no idea how this goes down

[00:43:23] but it seems like you know I did some

[00:43:25] huge mage

[00:43:27] self explosion deal

[00:43:29] to kill some baddie

[00:43:31] and try to get people away

[00:43:33] or some sort of a thing

[00:43:35] cause that's just

[00:43:37] maybe everybody's knife

[00:43:39] who knife him

[00:43:41] you know maybe that's what happens

[00:43:43] and like oh shit and then all hell

[00:43:45] breaks loose and it explodes

[00:43:47] and yeah I

[00:43:49] I'm buying into the Dalaran

[00:43:51] is gone and that KADGAR

[00:43:53] is dead now you're right they

[00:43:55] that is not

[00:43:57] fully established there is no body

[00:43:59] that we've seen it is a

[00:44:01] relatively small debris feel like there are

[00:44:03] definitely questions when you look

[00:44:05] at what is being presented

[00:44:07] right now the way that they talk

[00:44:09] about it

[00:44:11] they sure seem intent on explaining

[00:44:13] that this was done

[00:44:15] because they wanted to

[00:44:17] sort of elevate

[00:44:19] the stakes and coming out of dragon

[00:44:21] flight that makes a lot of sense to me where

[00:44:23] it was a

[00:44:25] smaller more grounded story which

[00:44:27] was a little more

[00:44:29] touchy feely feel good whatever

[00:44:31] and it didn't quite land with some folks I know

[00:44:33] but this then

[00:44:35] pulls us out of that sort of

[00:44:37] comfort zone once again

[00:44:39] like oh shit

[00:44:41] this is a place we love this was like a well

[00:44:43] fortified joints there were a lot of

[00:44:45] super powerful mages around

[00:44:47] and now this place is gone

[00:44:49] and

[00:44:51] we're up against some shit

[00:44:53] and if you think about

[00:44:55] the arc of this story

[00:44:57] is being presented to us so far

[00:45:01] what seems like a big event right now

[00:45:03] and is if this is it and Dalaran

[00:45:05] is gone I have a feeling

[00:45:07] that this is going to pale in comparison

[00:45:09] to where we're going like this

[00:45:11] this is like one of those things like

[00:45:13] oh shit like all this thing happened

[00:45:15] and then when you look back at it like you know

[00:45:17] yeah but

[00:45:19] in comparison to where we're going

[00:45:21] was probably some big cosmic

[00:45:23] shit like this is

[00:45:25] I don't know

[00:45:27] I think we'll feel better about it as time goes on

[00:45:29] but it is a hell of a way

[00:45:31] to kick us

[00:45:33] off into the war within

[00:45:35] and

[00:45:37] yeah I

[00:45:39] I was very surprised

[00:45:41] that was not on my bingo card

[00:45:43] at all

[00:45:45] I'm not

[00:45:47] because that had never

[00:45:49] even remotely

[00:45:51] seemed like something like

[00:45:53] Dalaran what

[00:45:55] totally away from there like how is that even

[00:45:57] here how did that get here

[00:45:59] did we you know

[00:46:01] mage portal that shit out there

[00:46:03] or was it there

[00:46:05] because maybe we got tricked into

[00:46:07] sending it there you know Zalatath

[00:46:09] doing some

[00:46:11] Zalatath-y shit

[00:46:13] hmm

[00:46:15] questions remain

[00:46:17] but they seem consistent

[00:46:19] that they wanted to kick it off with

[00:46:21] something big

[00:46:23] they were concerned about the

[00:46:25] comparisons to Teldrassil and every time I saw this

[00:46:27] come up I heard your maniacal

[00:46:29] laugh in the back of my brain and I'm like

[00:46:31] oh boy here we go again

[00:46:33] blowing up cities and jazz

[00:46:35] this is good for the story I love this

[00:46:37] hahahaha

[00:46:39] fucking alliance you know

[00:46:41] but at least this one's neutral

[00:46:43] at least this one's neutral we're all gonna feel the pain

[00:46:45] of this one

[00:46:47] but get it

[00:46:49] I consider it to be more of an alliance

[00:46:51] city but you know you go off

[00:46:53] I

[00:46:55] I mean I'll yeah I would claim it

[00:46:57] hahahaha

[00:46:59] you're not wrong

[00:47:01] um but I do remember getting

[00:47:03] kicked out of a lot of attempts to get into

[00:47:05] the horde part of that place

[00:47:07] be that as it may

[00:47:09] hell of a way to kick things off

[00:47:11] and a lot of

[00:47:13] questions left to be answered

[00:47:15] but we did get a chance to go further

[00:47:17] than that as you said the Isle of Dorn

[00:47:19] is that first starting

[00:47:21] zone where we get to jump in

[00:47:23] and

[00:47:25] right away although there was another cut

[00:47:27] scene in there that

[00:47:29] we haven't seen yet we get introduced

[00:47:31] to the earthen to the storm riders

[00:47:33] who look

[00:47:35] the new allied race looks badass

[00:47:37] like it is unbelievable

[00:47:39] what the art

[00:47:41] team is putting together for the earthen

[00:47:43] for their customizations

[00:47:45] for their armor like it is

[00:47:47] unreal

[00:47:49] what we're seeing right now and so

[00:47:51] to get introduced to them

[00:47:53] to get to know a little bit

[00:47:55] of

[00:47:57] you know what's what the

[00:47:59] you know what are we walking into it's another one of these civilizations

[00:48:01] that's long existed before

[00:48:03] we ever got there or bringing war to their shores once again

[00:48:05] or we're interrupting one or joining one

[00:48:07] or whatever the case may be

[00:48:09] we're now learning about

[00:48:11] their society their culture and so we get

[00:48:13] we get placed there and

[00:48:15] we're not just there

[00:48:17] with the earthen

[00:48:19] and we're not just there with Rall and Jaina

[00:48:21] I got to say we're there with my boy

[00:48:23] andooin shows up

[00:48:25] he's back he's got shalamane

[00:48:27] he's got kind of a weird pointy chin

[00:48:29] but that's okay it's just the way that they did

[00:48:31] the beard I'm not gonna dwell on that

[00:48:33] too long it's good to see him

[00:48:35] he looks distressed and exactly like

[00:48:37] you know you kind of figure

[00:48:39] but it is it is

[00:48:41] manduin coming to fruition I was very excited to see him

[00:48:43] and begin

[00:48:45] that journey into

[00:48:47] this new land

[00:48:49] and the adventures that we're gonna see there

[00:48:51] um

[00:48:53] the features

[00:48:55] that they have teased

[00:48:57] and now

[00:48:59] we've gotten a piece of it in the alpha

[00:49:01] one are the war bands

[00:49:03] and two are the delts

[00:49:05] those are the two that I wanted to touch on

[00:49:07] as well and with the war bands

[00:49:09] this was immediately met with

[00:49:11] praise I think

[00:49:13] at the presentation of blizzcon everybody

[00:49:15] was pretty excited about seeing this

[00:49:17] that now you know it's not player housing

[00:49:19] I know everybody oh player housing

[00:49:21] player housing well you know we're never gonna get that

[00:49:23] let it go people

[00:49:25] we got a garrison that's as close as it's gonna get

[00:49:27] so give it up I'm just telling you

[00:49:29] and when this comes back later and we get player housing

[00:49:31] go ahead and bookmark this one

[00:49:33] um

[00:49:35] but it was our first chance now in the alpha

[00:49:37] to see what that looks like

[00:49:39] there's a little little scene there

[00:49:41] and you at least we're creating characters now

[00:49:43] on the alpha you know we're not porting anything over yet

[00:49:45] but um

[00:49:47] having that little group there

[00:49:49] and not only

[00:49:51] like having that

[00:49:53] whatever visual

[00:49:55] aesthetic there's

[00:49:57] actual purposes

[00:49:59] for like there are things that you get there

[00:50:01] there are uh benefits

[00:50:03] to these war bands

[00:50:05] including the bank

[00:50:07] I think that's the universal thing

[00:50:09] that's being praised right now is there's a shared

[00:50:11] warband bank

[00:50:13] your transmog the way that the transmog

[00:50:15] is being unlocked

[00:50:17] you can you know I'm a plate and I pick up a cloth

[00:50:19] it's that cloth is now

[00:50:21] available to anybody in my warband

[00:50:23] uh that wears cloth

[00:50:25] they even added

[00:50:27] something for first time

[00:50:29] quest completions where you get a bonus

[00:50:31] reward that can be used within

[00:50:33] your um

[00:50:35] your warband there were there's a bunch

[00:50:37] of them and I'm sure that they'll keep working on these

[00:50:39] uh but what was what was

[00:50:41] your first impression of the warbands getting

[00:50:43] getting hands on what did you think

[00:50:45] of a setup that's been presented to us at this point

[00:50:49] warbands are kind of like

[00:50:51] I feel like they're one of the things they're

[00:50:53] doing with the new philosophies evergreen

[00:50:55] features right

[00:50:57] and I feel like this the first iteration

[00:50:59] of warbands is

[00:51:01] really basic overall

[00:51:03] I mean we

[00:51:05] I mean the shared transmog pool

[00:51:07] is great but we already kind of

[00:51:09] have a shared transmog

[00:51:11] pool kind of

[00:51:13] um yeah we can't we can't unlock

[00:51:15] plate on a clothy

[00:51:17] but it's not

[00:51:19] a big deal to just

[00:51:21] re-log into a different character to do the

[00:51:23] run I don't know but anyway

[00:51:25] um so it's it's

[00:51:27] a lot of quality of life stuff that

[00:51:29] um you know we would have hoped

[00:51:31] we've been there for a while so a lot of it is

[00:51:33] just like this should have been there

[00:51:35] before to me in

[00:51:37] my cynical view um

[00:51:39] but the other half of it is the the excitement

[00:51:41] for what could come in the future now

[00:51:43] one of the things they have teased is

[00:51:45] using your warband

[00:51:47] that's followers and dungeons

[00:51:49] um so that's that's one

[00:51:51] thing that could be cool

[00:51:53] obviously that's not going to extend all the way to mythic

[00:51:55] plus I doubt because

[00:51:57] that'd be I don't know

[00:51:59] heavily trivializing on content

[00:52:01] but they've talked about like using

[00:52:03] them in normal and maybe

[00:52:05] heroics as well someday

[00:52:07] and also um in the delves

[00:52:09] and we'll talk about dwells a bit more

[00:52:11] in a minute I suppose

[00:52:13] but uh but there's also things

[00:52:15] they've talked about like being able

[00:52:17] to change the background

[00:52:19] of the warband because

[00:52:21] right now you just it's sort of like

[00:52:23] a foresty kind of

[00:52:25] jungly kind of motif and if you're

[00:52:27] if you want to if you're going for a specific

[00:52:29] theme for your warband you know

[00:52:31] if you're like me creating

[00:52:33] a warband made of all the Evo

[00:52:35] classes like Shadow Priest

[00:52:37] Warlock Death Knight

[00:52:39] and Demon Hunter you probably

[00:52:41] don't want a happy you know

[00:52:43] a happy go lucky little

[00:52:45] forest where your warband's hanging out

[00:52:47] you probably want something a bit dark

[00:52:49] and dreary you know and a bit more metal

[00:52:51] yeah and uh that's

[00:52:53] yeah so I think this could

[00:52:55] evolve into our

[00:52:57] player housing system

[00:52:59] someday maybe possibly

[00:53:01] um

[00:53:03] I know like people

[00:53:05] have been asking for player housing since vanilla

[00:53:07] I remember the portal in

[00:53:09] Stormwind that

[00:53:11] seemingly went to nowhere and

[00:53:13] I think it was originally

[00:53:15] envisioned as like an instanced

[00:53:17] area where your player

[00:53:19] house would sit similar to

[00:53:21] how Final Fantasy 11 had like

[00:53:23] in the cities there was

[00:53:25] a portal which you

[00:53:27] walk through and it took you to your little

[00:53:29] space you could customize with furniture and stuff like that

[00:53:31] I think player housing

[00:53:33] would be great for the game

[00:53:35] just to put it down

[00:53:37] right now and one of the things Holly Longdow

[00:53:39] did talk about in the group interviews was this

[00:53:41] concept of

[00:53:43] doubling down on

[00:53:45] meaningful content for solo players

[00:53:47] and I think a lot of these are the service

[00:53:49] games that are out there in the market right now they do

[00:53:51] offer that where like

[00:53:53] in Fallout 76 I was talking about earlier

[00:53:55] I can make my own house

[00:53:57] in Fallout 76 and I can put

[00:53:59] my virtual

[00:54:01] coffee table in there and

[00:54:03] my crafting tables and

[00:54:05] my stash and my banks in there and all this

[00:54:07] other kind of stuff or the players can come

[00:54:09] and visit my house in

[00:54:11] Fallout 76 they can even

[00:54:13] buy things from my

[00:54:15] vendor machine yeah like

[00:54:17] I have a vendor machine in Fallout 76

[00:54:19] and I will say that

[00:54:21] Blizzard survival game

[00:54:23] had these mechanics too where you

[00:54:25] could build your own house

[00:54:27] and you could make a potion shop

[00:54:29] and sell potions there

[00:54:31] in this sort of like you know this almost

[00:54:33] role-playing environment so I think

[00:54:35] warbands hopefully will evolve into

[00:54:37] something that

[00:54:39] the logical conclusions

[00:54:41] of warbands evolving is this sort of

[00:54:43] role-playing

[00:54:45] fantasy of having your four

[00:54:47] main characters

[00:54:49] as your little war group of

[00:54:51] you know heroes

[00:54:53] and having a

[00:54:55] customizable space where

[00:54:57] you can work on cosmetic

[00:54:59] items for it and

[00:55:01] maybe instead of like

[00:55:03] they're talked about having a

[00:55:05] customizable background what if you could

[00:55:07] buy the backgrounds from

[00:55:09] other players like crafters

[00:55:11] could make

[00:55:13] lots of the background for you and then that

[00:55:15] evolves into the player housing thing so

[00:55:17] there's a lot of potential that could do this

[00:55:19] if they have the will and the interest to do so

[00:55:21] it's just about

[00:55:23] whether I'm just not getting ahead of myself

[00:55:25] and all that kind of stuff so

[00:55:27] I'm excited for the future of them

[00:55:29] but right now I just

[00:55:31] you know I'm just kind of looking forward

[00:55:33] to you know making my little

[00:55:35] four player emo group

[00:55:37] yeah I mean

[00:55:39] listen if

[00:55:41] we could have the warrior class hall

[00:55:43] as a place to hang out and I could

[00:55:45] stash a bunch of my plate wearers or

[00:55:47] you know we could

[00:55:49] hang out a

[00:55:51] variety of locations

[00:55:53] in Azeroth I could think of a dozen

[00:55:55] places that would be amazing just to have

[00:55:57] it is

[00:55:59] it has the feeling

[00:56:01] of being infinitely customizable

[00:56:03] and I feel like

[00:56:05] I feel like

[00:56:07] there's some legs here that people are gonna like it

[00:56:09] people are gonna want that if we're in the age

[00:56:11] of customization

[00:56:13] where we're adding

[00:56:15] every sub patch every full patch

[00:56:17] every opportunity they get we're adding

[00:56:19] something for customization

[00:56:21] this just screams to me like let's

[00:56:23] establish this foundation

[00:56:25] of this system

[00:56:27] see

[00:56:29] how stable it is and then

[00:56:31] just continue to build from there

[00:56:33] and I think that's

[00:56:35] gonna be

[00:56:37] incredibly popular but probably also

[00:56:39] a source of consternation where people

[00:56:41] are not gonna get what they want and they'll see somebody else

[00:56:43] getting what they want and be like hey what about my

[00:56:45] you know

[00:56:47] dark and dreary or my

[00:56:49] heavy metal or my

[00:56:51] druidic or my you know

[00:56:53] mage fantasy whatever

[00:56:55] I could I could see where some

[00:56:57] of that pops out but

[00:56:59] I think it's gonna be fun

[00:57:01] I think it's gonna be good

[00:57:03] if you haven't looked

[00:57:05] too much into this yourselves out there

[00:57:07] there is an official

[00:57:09] post describing what war bands

[00:57:11] are what the benefits are

[00:57:13] and if you're in the

[00:57:15] alpha access

[00:57:17] you can test out these features

[00:57:19] I already submitted my first bug

[00:57:21] when I was on the war bands

[00:57:23] screen and

[00:57:25] I went to change my graphics settings

[00:57:27] for my monitor

[00:57:29] and when I changed them for naked

[00:57:31] torrent show it up in my war bands

[00:57:33] on top of all of my characters

[00:57:35] I don't know that that's

[00:57:37] supposed to happen I don't know what kind of party

[00:57:39] we're supposed to be having over at the war

[00:57:41] within but I let them know and said hey

[00:57:43] you know what these four

[00:57:45] very large naked torrent

[00:57:47] showed up looking for a party

[00:57:49] and it just wasn't the time

[00:57:51] of place but I appreciated the offer and I

[00:57:53] am just you know letting y'all know so

[00:57:55] things to work out there

[00:57:57] as I always say if you get in for these testings

[00:57:59] test shit out click on

[00:58:01] testings do all of that

[00:58:03] um

[00:58:05] so like you mentioned the other part

[00:58:07] of this now I have not gotten into one of these

[00:58:09] yet

[00:58:11] but I know that you got a chance to play through

[00:58:13] a delve or

[00:58:15] replay them or you have some

[00:58:17] hands-on experience with the delves now yes

[00:58:19] yes

[00:58:21] I did I played through delve

[00:58:23] three times when I was playing

[00:58:25] and again

[00:58:27] it's another one of them very early

[00:58:29] days

[00:58:31] with a lot of potential

[00:58:33] and I think the first delve

[00:58:35] you do is

[00:58:37] honestly

[00:58:39] a poor introduction

[00:58:41] to what they potentially are going to be

[00:58:43] later on

[00:58:45] so and again it's alpha they're tuning

[00:58:47] things they'll change things and all that kind of

[00:58:49] stuff and also

[00:58:51] um

[00:58:53] holly pointed this out to me because I actually

[00:58:55] I put this to holly I was like

[00:58:57] I tried the first delve it was very

[00:58:59] easy it was

[00:59:01] brand-aid easy you know and the first

[00:59:03] the first delve kind of

[00:59:05] integrates the story

[00:59:07] so it's like

[00:59:09] in the in the story one

[00:59:11] of the dwarfs wants you to

[00:59:13] she'll help you but first she wants you to

[00:59:15] save her mates

[00:59:17] who are stuck in a

[00:59:19] nerub infested mine

[00:59:21] and the first delve is this mine

[00:59:23] I can't remember off the top of my head what it's called but

[00:59:25] it's a mine

[00:59:27] and it's almost like doing

[00:59:29] a wing of tourgaste there's just one level

[00:59:31] of tourgaste where you fight

[00:59:33] through a bunch of monsters maybe there's an event or two

[00:59:35] there's some random chests which give you

[00:59:37] random buffs temporary buffs

[00:59:39] and then there might be some random chest

[00:59:41] that I've got run a bit of loot in or run

[00:59:43] a bit of currency in because there is

[00:59:45] a there is a transmog vendor tied to the

[00:59:47] delves and the transmog vendor has

[00:59:49] very cool looking items I must add

[00:59:51] um including

[00:59:53] uh cobalt candles

[00:59:55] that you can wear on your head

[00:59:57] so if you want to role play a cobalt

[00:59:59] you'll be doing a bunch of delves I think

[01:00:01] but um

[01:00:03] but it was super easy you know

[01:00:05] but at the same time it was

[01:00:07] supposed to be the story version

[01:00:09] of of the delve

[01:00:11] where you just you do in the quest associated

[01:00:13] with the campaign rather than

[01:00:15] actually doing the delve as an end game

[01:00:17] piece of content

[01:00:19] and that's what delves are supposed to be there

[01:00:21] there's going to be 5 to 10 minute

[01:00:23] snackable end game

[01:00:25] dungeons that can be done solo

[01:00:27] and they are going to have difficulty levels

[01:00:29] so

[01:00:31] the first difficulty level as you might expect

[01:00:33] is a story mode difficulty

[01:00:35] so I can't remember off the top of my head how many

[01:00:37] difficulty levels exactly

[01:00:39] the delves have but they do

[01:00:41] go up to the point where they're going to

[01:00:43] be quite tough they're going to have affixes

[01:00:45] and extra hazards

[01:00:47] and challenges inside them

[01:00:49] also they'll be able to

[01:00:51] unlock

[01:00:53] um a track in the

[01:00:55] great vault at the end of the week so you will be

[01:00:57] able to get yeah like higher

[01:00:59] end epics and tier pieces from them

[01:01:01] so I would presume

[01:01:03] that to get

[01:01:05] the higher end stuff

[01:01:07] there must be a significant amount of challenge

[01:01:09] attached to that because otherwise

[01:01:11] you'll just be trivializing

[01:01:13] high-end raiding content

[01:01:15] I would thought because like

[01:01:17] it's not easy

[01:01:19] to put together a raid team

[01:01:21] to do heroics

[01:01:23] and it's even more difficult to put together

[01:01:25] a raid team to do mythic raiding

[01:01:27] um and if you kind of

[01:01:29] trivializing

[01:01:31] the rewards and prestige

[01:01:33] associated with that I can

[01:01:35] they've done it before in the past where they've made

[01:01:37] it easy to get

[01:01:39] end game stuff too easy

[01:01:41] and I think the game

[01:01:43] has lost something as a result of that

[01:01:45] but at the same time

[01:01:47] you kind of have to thread that needle between

[01:01:49] like solo players or casual players

[01:01:51] of which there are many

[01:01:53] in world of warcraft

[01:01:55] giving them meaningful rewards and then meaningful

[01:01:57] things to do as well

[01:01:59] ways they can challenge themselves

[01:02:01] or not challenge themselves if they don't even

[01:02:03] want to challenge themselves you know

[01:02:05] so Blizzard has made it

[01:02:07] easier to get tier pieces now

[01:02:09] with the creation card list and things like that

[01:02:11] and I don't think there's anything wrong with that necessarily

[01:02:13] um

[01:02:15] but I do wonder like how

[01:02:17] potentially tough

[01:02:19] these could get like are we talking

[01:02:21] did you ever do the mage tower back in the day

[01:02:23] or anything like that

[01:02:25] um like I never did the mage tower

[01:02:27] I've never done it I wasn't playing the game at the time

[01:02:29] so

[01:02:31] but I heard like that was quite tough

[01:02:33] remember correctly

[01:02:35] it was very dependent on skill

[01:02:39] for me most of the time like as a fury warrior

[01:02:41] I know that there were people who smashed through it

[01:02:43] very early and I

[01:02:45] had to

[01:02:47] wait until I had a specific trinket

[01:02:49] that essentially just let me overpower it

[01:02:51] sort of by accident but it was

[01:02:53] it was very dependent on skill

[01:02:55] it was a hell of a challenge

[01:02:57] like I did the um

[01:02:59] I did the warlock ring fire quest

[01:03:01] when it first came out

[01:03:03] in Mr. Pandaren

[01:03:05] that was honestly the hardest thing I've ever done

[01:03:07] in world of warcraft ever I think

[01:03:09] um

[01:03:11] you know so

[01:03:13] if there are those

[01:03:15] kind of cool challenges that reward

[01:03:17] like exclusive mobs

[01:03:19] and you know exclusive rewards

[01:03:21] and titles and all that kind of stuff

[01:03:23] I think that's really really cool potentially

[01:03:25] but I think it's also

[01:03:27] really cool that if you can bring your warband

[01:03:29] with you I think that's really cool too

[01:03:31] and also to make things easier

[01:03:33] there is um these

[01:03:35] NPC heroes which join you

[01:03:37] on a rotor every week

[01:03:39] the NPC hero swaps out to a different hero

[01:03:41] the one I played with is

[01:03:43] Bran Bronzebeard

[01:03:45] yeah

[01:03:47] yeah that guy

[01:03:49] god um

[01:03:51] uh

[01:03:53] Bran Bronzebeard who somehow survived

[01:03:55] the events of every game so far

[01:03:57] and um and still

[01:03:59] manages to come back to be irritating

[01:04:01] every now and then

[01:04:03] and um

[01:04:05] he's customizable as either DPS or

[01:04:07] healer and um there's like

[01:04:09] a little backpack outside every delve

[01:04:11] where you can customize the NPC

[01:04:13] that's going to go in there with you

[01:04:15] and you can set him to be DPS

[01:04:17] or you can set him to be a healer if you

[01:04:19] set him to be a healer like I did

[01:04:21] he will throw potions at you

[01:04:23] to heal you and um

[01:04:25] and he'll whip out

[01:04:27] ancient archaeological artefacts

[01:04:29] which he'll heal you and stuff like that right

[01:04:31] um it's pretty cool

[01:04:33] and the AI his AI seems really good

[01:04:35] so there's you know

[01:04:37] that whole aspect of it too

[01:04:39] um so

[01:04:41] yeah uh the delve seem like

[01:04:43] got a lot of potential um

[01:04:45] I just wonder like

[01:04:47] how many they'll be like how varied will they

[01:04:49] be like because I was I was

[01:04:51] did that mine it took me about five minutes

[01:04:53] to do clear the mine and there was a little

[01:04:55] mini boss at the end you know like a wing of

[01:04:57] Torgast and much like Torgast

[01:04:59] I was quite excited for Torgast

[01:05:01] when I was reading about it back in the day

[01:05:03] yeah and then

[01:05:05] it became very repetitive very

[01:05:07] quickly

[01:05:09] and I ended up I ended up just

[01:05:11] hating it you know um

[01:05:13] I end up seeing it as a weekly chore

[01:05:15] and then Torgast

[01:05:17] Torgast yeah and then people people

[01:05:19] like Blizzard decided yeah

[01:05:21] it's a bit too much of a chore let's trivialize it

[01:05:23] and then it just became kind of pointless because

[01:05:25] you ended up with so much ash

[01:05:27] that you didn't really need to do it anymore

[01:05:29] so they just kind of became forgotten

[01:05:31] you know um

[01:05:33] uh for a lot of people

[01:05:35] I think yeah um

[01:05:37] so a question of longevity

[01:05:39] hangs over delves like how how will

[01:05:41] I feel about doing this mine

[01:05:43] for the hundredth time you know

[01:05:45] um yeah how they're going to change it up

[01:05:47] with the layouts change

[01:05:49] you know all that kind of stuff

[01:05:51] there's a lot of questions over delves but again I think

[01:05:53] there's a lot of potential if

[01:05:55] they land it you know and we'll see

[01:05:57] what happens that's the biggest

[01:05:59] question that I have and then it's again

[01:06:01] it's the comparisons to Torgast

[01:06:03] and they know that they're getting them and I think they've

[01:06:05] talked about them to some degree of

[01:06:07] I think they said

[01:06:09] and I could be wrong about this I think

[01:06:11] they said there's like 12

[01:06:13] initially and then there's like a 13th

[01:06:15] delve towards the end

[01:06:17] and that's like a one boss type situation

[01:06:19] or something like that um

[01:06:21] but it is that same

[01:06:23] Torgast

[01:06:25] adjacent

[01:06:27] challenge where yeah you can go into

[01:06:29] I think it's called the earth crawl mines

[01:06:31] you can go in there one time

[01:06:33] and it's one way and you go in there another time

[01:06:35] and it's a different

[01:06:37] kind of challenge there's different things going on

[01:06:39] and so there will be that variability

[01:06:41] in there and then across the whole

[01:06:43] of them

[01:06:45] should be quite a bit of variance

[01:06:47] at first

[01:06:49] and then it is

[01:06:51] how hard is that challenge

[01:06:53] how good are the rewards

[01:06:55] how long does this really take

[01:06:57] and then how long is this actually going to be viable

[01:06:59] for because

[01:07:01] I remember when

[01:07:03] Shadowlands first fired up

[01:07:05] this was Alpha Beta

[01:07:07] whenever we first got our look at Torgast

[01:07:09] and I was like this thing's gonna be fucking awesome

[01:07:11] I was loving it when we first got into it

[01:07:13] and then

[01:07:15] it didn't take all that long I'm like no

[01:07:17] this ain't the jam that I thought it was

[01:07:19] and I think part of it was because they tuned it

[01:07:21] way the other direction where it was

[01:07:23] in my opinion it was too hard

[01:07:25] when

[01:07:27] I think if they just made it a little bit easier

[01:07:29] I think it would have been more

[01:07:31] accessible to more people but

[01:07:33] understand the challenge understand why they did it that way

[01:07:35] to a degree

[01:07:37] but the longevity of the Delves

[01:07:39] is something that

[01:07:41] hangs with me as the biggest question

[01:07:43] but again haven't put hands on it yet

[01:07:45] looking forward to seeing it myself

[01:07:47] and what I actually

[01:07:49] think about it in practice but

[01:07:51] I don't know

[01:07:53] I like running around with Bran Bronzebeard

[01:07:55] and shit the guy let out an old god

[01:07:57] and we're still dealing with all the repercussions

[01:07:59] for this so if I gotta put him to work

[01:08:01] to help pay off that debt then

[01:08:03] so be it

[01:08:05] we'll do it

[01:08:07] but outside of these

[01:08:09] getting a chance to

[01:08:11] see the new land

[01:08:13] start making our way through some quests

[01:08:15] seeing was it Dagren's

[01:08:17] new model who's

[01:08:19] just about the nerdiest

[01:08:21] dwarf that ever lived

[01:08:23] I think that's gonna be very

[01:08:25] popular

[01:08:27] he seems hilarious

[01:08:29] but

[01:08:31] not at all what you'd expect of a dog lion

[01:08:33] they've really subverted expectations there

[01:08:37] but he's half

[01:08:39] bronzebeard

[01:08:41] no he's a half bronzebeard

[01:08:43] so I suppose he's got

[01:08:45] that scholarly

[01:08:47] scholarly aspect to him but also

[01:08:49] he's a fire mage so he's got

[01:08:51] the dark iron half too

[01:08:53] as well as it'd be interesting to see that

[01:08:55] character develop maybe

[01:08:57] you know I remember seeing

[01:08:59] Gourash for the first time and I think it was

[01:09:01] Rathalich no it wasn't Rathalich it was a burning crusade

[01:09:03] they introduced Gourash

[01:09:05] and I didn't even remember

[01:09:07] Gourash from Lathalich King

[01:09:09] and then

[01:09:11] when I did

[01:09:13] from burning crusade sorry and then I did Rathalich King

[01:09:15] and he's there

[01:09:17] in Boryantondra

[01:09:19] as one of the main characters

[01:09:21] the first characters you meet

[01:09:23] he's under

[01:09:25] his wing and stuff like that

[01:09:27] and I remember thinking at the time

[01:09:29] they're actually making this guy into a character

[01:09:31] I would never have expected

[01:09:33] Gourash's story arc to go where he did

[01:09:35] over the years

[01:09:37] and now he's like

[01:09:39] quite controversial kind of character

[01:09:41] one thing he is he's memorable

[01:09:43] he is really really

[01:09:45] memorable and I think

[01:09:47] Blizzard often struggles to make

[01:09:49] new characters

[01:09:51] that actually are memorable

[01:09:53] and obviously the jailer

[01:09:55] being a very obvious mistake

[01:09:57] but then you've got Gourash

[01:09:59] which is the other direction

[01:10:01] like an example of a very

[01:10:03] notorious character

[01:10:05] some people love some people hate but everybody remembers

[01:10:07] so I do wonder

[01:10:09] what's Daggerin's story

[01:10:11] going to be

[01:10:13] is he going to end up being evil

[01:10:15] is he going to succumb to his

[01:10:17] dark eye and heritage

[01:10:19] is he going to seek out the void

[01:10:21] and some evil void artifacts

[01:10:23] side with

[01:10:25] the knife

[01:10:27] who knows what could happen

[01:10:29] when I see these new characters I think of that stuff

[01:10:31] this could be another Gourash moment

[01:10:33] where

[01:10:35] you just don't know where it could go

[01:10:37] I'm excited to see that he got a new model

[01:10:39] and let's see where it goes from here

[01:10:41] yeah you're not investing in that model

[01:10:43] if there's not something going on

[01:10:45] like that's not just

[01:10:47] some generic throw away

[01:10:49] model I mean that is full

[01:10:51] on and on that note

[01:10:53] something I've already noticed as I'm playing

[01:10:55] through

[01:10:57] the alpha which has occurred

[01:10:59] with him which has occurred

[01:11:01] with

[01:11:03] Anduin and

[01:11:05] our buddy

[01:11:07] the earth speaker

[01:11:09] her

[01:11:11] Magni there we go

[01:11:13] when you come across these characters

[01:11:15] and I assume

[01:11:17] many more

[01:11:19] see if you can talk to them

[01:11:21] see if they have more of the

[01:11:23] stay a while and listen prompts

[01:11:25] because I've already seen

[01:11:27] a bunch of these

[01:11:29] and at least with Anduin one of them

[01:11:31] already had the voice acting

[01:11:33] in place so it was kind of cool

[01:11:35] to hear some of that already but

[01:11:37] that the success

[01:11:39] of that in Dragonflight

[01:11:41] seems to have also now ported over where

[01:11:43] if you're interested

[01:11:45] you're probably going to get a chance

[01:11:47] to hear a lot more about what's going on

[01:11:49] and some of the lore

[01:11:51] and some of the history like we were

[01:11:53] learning more about the earthen

[01:11:55] right then and there because there's kind of an important

[01:11:57] I think set piece being built

[01:11:59] for our understanding

[01:12:01] of the earthen how they work

[01:12:03] how long they've been around

[01:12:05] how long they may only

[01:12:07] be around unless some things happen

[01:12:09] like it was very interesting

[01:12:11] to hear all of that

[01:12:13] from a lore and knowledge

[01:12:15] story perspective but you won't get that

[01:12:17] unless you you know well I guess you can go

[01:12:19] and fuck them out and read whatever but

[01:12:21] in game if you want to see it

[01:12:23] click on the people and

[01:12:25] you know they've been pretty good about voice acting

[01:12:27] all these and I always enjoyed watching these little kind of vignettes anyway

[01:12:29] so that was kind of cool to see

[01:12:31] but otherwise

[01:12:33] that kind of encompasses

[01:12:35] my hands-on experience with

[01:12:37] the alpha so far did

[01:12:39] the little bit of intro

[01:12:41] fighting off nerubians with thrall and jaina

[01:12:43] and anduin getting

[01:12:45] to fly over to the new capital city

[01:12:47] there meet some

[01:12:49] earthen and find out about

[01:12:51] catgar and

[01:12:53] now I think I need

[01:12:55] to meet some

[01:12:57] some other folks or do something where I'm right there in the capital city so

[01:13:01] that is my experience with it

[01:13:03] hands-on thus far

[01:13:05] and I'm doing my best to submit book reports but

[01:13:07] for you Jez

[01:13:09] anything else

[01:13:11] that is noteworthy

[01:13:13] from your time

[01:13:15] in the alpha?

[01:13:17] I think that hero talents

[01:13:19] I suppose we should touch on that a little bit

[01:13:21] it's the pretty, I would call

[01:13:23] that personally the biggest expansion feature

[01:13:25] in a way

[01:13:27] because that's hundreds and hundreds of new abilities

[01:13:29] and skills they've got to balance

[01:13:31] in theory at least

[01:13:33] I mean I was surprised that

[01:13:35] although I was surprised at first

[01:13:37] but then I was like oh actually

[01:13:39] that makes sense because

[01:13:41] you do unlock all of the hero talents

[01:13:43] so like

[01:13:45] it's kind of

[01:13:47] it's almost like

[01:13:49] it's less of a choice

[01:13:51] really it's not really like

[01:13:53] a regular talent tree where

[01:13:55] you have a bunch of choices to make

[01:13:57] I think there's only like two choices in every tree

[01:13:59] to make really

[01:14:01] and it's two swap between two talents that are basically the same

[01:14:03] offer some kind of passive buff

[01:14:05] to existinability

[01:14:07] I think they're gonna

[01:14:09] struggle with these a little bit I think

[01:14:11] because I've already seen like a lot of people complain about

[01:14:13] the way that

[01:14:15] some of the talents

[01:14:17] in much the same way

[01:14:19] that covenants did

[01:14:21] interfere with

[01:14:23] people's perception of their class fantasy

[01:14:25] like if you are for example

[01:14:27] if you're a hunter

[01:14:29] and you're a marksman hunter

[01:14:31] and it just ends up being the case

[01:14:33] that being a

[01:14:35] dark ranger hunter

[01:14:37] is the highest DPS

[01:14:39] spec to go

[01:14:41] but you don't like the aesthetic

[01:14:43] of being a dark hunter maybe

[01:14:45] you're a draenei

[01:14:47] you want to be a happy go lucky

[01:14:49] loving draenei hunter

[01:14:51] I know you're being asked to pick the dark ranger spec

[01:14:53] by your guild because

[01:14:55] maybe it's got 5%

[01:14:57] more extra DPS

[01:14:59] the game is more balanced than it ever has been

[01:15:01] and there's usually like 5%

[01:15:03] difference across the board

[01:15:05] maybe 6, 7, 8%

[01:15:07] in some extreme scenarios

[01:15:09] but you can pretty much do all content

[01:15:11] with all specs

[01:15:13] world firsts

[01:15:15] we had world firsts with the feral druid

[01:15:17] for the first time ever

[01:15:19] during the world

[01:15:21] or the first time in like 10 years or something

[01:15:23] long time since feral druid

[01:15:25] had competed in the race world first

[01:15:27] so I think anything is possible with the current system

[01:15:31] but people loved them in max

[01:15:33] and they had this idea that

[01:15:35] they've picked the spec

[01:15:37] that's 5% worse

[01:15:39] but then they hate being forced

[01:15:41] to choose between

[01:15:43] 5% DPS

[01:15:45] or a compelling aesthetic that they like

[01:15:47] and that's what people hated

[01:15:49] about covenants

[01:15:51] they hated that

[01:15:53] maybe the maldraxi

[01:15:55] were the best spec to be

[01:15:57] but you didn't want to

[01:15:59] you wanted to be revendreth or something

[01:16:01] I refused to participate in that

[01:16:03] when I played through shalons

[01:16:05] I was like

[01:16:07] but I had the luxury of doing that

[01:16:09] because I had a nice guild

[01:16:11] I didn't really care about it that much

[01:16:13] some of the more elitist DPS type people

[01:16:15] in my guild

[01:16:17] who were like

[01:16:19] you know

[01:16:21] what was it now?

[01:16:23] night phase better for warlocks

[01:16:25] because the soul rots

[01:16:27] so much better than whatever

[01:16:29] you're running right

[01:16:31] and I was like I don't give a shit

[01:16:33] my warlock thinks soul rots

[01:16:35] dumb so deal with it

[01:16:37] I wasn't raiding mythical or anything

[01:16:39] I was only raiding of rowing but

[01:16:41] I still got those comments occasionally

[01:16:43] and it made the choice feel bad

[01:16:45] it made the choice like

[01:16:47] I'm trying to choose between

[01:16:49] what I think looks cool

[01:16:51] and what actually is more powerful

[01:16:53] that's a choice that sucks

[01:16:55] so I think they're going to have some trouble with this

[01:16:57] if they can't get the balance

[01:16:59] as close as humanly possible

[01:17:01] especially with the specs that are a little bit more

[01:17:05] aesthetic

[01:17:07] like you dark ranger to some degree

[01:17:09] and some of the other stuff

[01:17:11] it doesn't bother me as a warlock

[01:17:13] because

[01:17:15] all the warlock specs are amazing

[01:17:17] I tried them all out

[01:17:19] the

[01:17:21] the diabolist

[01:17:23] warlock spec

[01:17:25] someone's a giant pit lord

[01:17:27] that's insane

[01:17:29] someone's like holy shit

[01:17:31] someone's like a pit lord

[01:17:33] that pops out

[01:17:35] like pops half way out a portal

[01:17:37] burning with fire and just

[01:17:39] laser beams the target and then disappears

[01:17:41] like and

[01:17:43] then the

[01:17:45] soul harvest spec is also

[01:17:47] really cool it's like

[01:17:49] it's like death note

[01:17:51] you get your own personal shinigami

[01:17:53] who pops out every now and then

[01:17:55] and copies one of your spells

[01:17:57] and it looks really cool, it's really aesthetically pleasing

[01:17:59] but it's easy to be aesthetically

[01:18:01] aesthetically pleasing with warlock

[01:18:03] because the theme of the class is that it's

[01:18:05] gotta be a certain way but some of the other

[01:18:07] classes that are maybe a little bit more generic

[01:18:09] in their looks

[01:18:11] like a hunter and then they're

[01:18:13] being asked to like become a dark ranger

[01:18:15] which is

[01:18:17] it's Sylvanas's personal

[01:18:19] hunter spec

[01:18:21] it's kind of

[01:18:23] I can see why that might be a headache for some

[01:18:25] hunters and stuff like that

[01:18:27] so I think they've got to be careful with

[01:18:29] some of that stuff make sure it's really

[01:18:31] balanced and also maybe

[01:18:33] even like

[01:18:35] give people the opportunity to use glyphs

[01:18:37] that can change some of the spells

[01:18:39] aesthetics maybe

[01:18:41] you know if they are

[01:18:43] if they are gonna struggle balancing it

[01:18:45] and stuff but

[01:18:47] yeah we'll see where it all goes, it's early days

[01:18:49] yet they've got a lot of stuff to balance

[01:18:51] and change of course they do

[01:18:53] and you know

[01:18:55] and if people didn't get so upset

[01:18:57] about 5% DPS here and there

[01:18:59] maybe it won't be such a big deal I don't know

[01:19:01] yeah it's

[01:19:03] it's the funny

[01:19:05] seesaw on this

[01:19:07] where

[01:19:09] I was always going to have my spear of bastion

[01:19:11] as a fury warrior

[01:19:13] that's just how I was gonna roll in the

[01:19:15] shadowlands and I didn't give a fuck what the

[01:19:17] DPS numbers were and I was never

[01:19:19] pulling top rank anyway it didn't matter what I had

[01:19:21] it wouldn't have made any difference

[01:19:23] for me but

[01:19:25] you also know that there's going to be

[01:19:27] balance fixes and so you're gonna

[01:19:29] spend all this time because you

[01:19:31] have to but you're grinding out something

[01:19:33] you don't want to and then they

[01:19:35] change it and then it's not

[01:19:37] what it was and you did all that kind of for

[01:19:39] nothing like that's a horrible position to be

[01:19:41] in so

[01:19:43] I'm

[01:19:45] confident that they will get to a better place

[01:19:47] this time because they're

[01:19:49] responding to feedback

[01:19:51] more swiftly like you can already see

[01:19:53] that they've made changes I know the

[01:19:55] warrior stuff already got some changes

[01:19:57] honestly I started

[01:19:59] rolling as a slayer spec because

[01:20:01] you know that I would and I did

[01:20:03] and I'm not really noticing anything

[01:20:05] it's like all that special I'm not you know

[01:20:07] so it's not like raining blood suddenly

[01:20:09] starts to play when I execute somebody

[01:20:11] it would be awesome

[01:20:13] maybe I can find a mod for

[01:20:15] that or an add-on if we're still allowed to do

[01:20:17] that but

[01:20:19] you know until such time as that occurs

[01:20:21] yeah it's probably gonna be mostly

[01:20:23] passive damage for me so I don't really have

[01:20:25] much to report on that end it seems

[01:20:27] fine it flows okay

[01:20:29] I'm killing stuff and not dying and that's

[01:20:31] you know that's mostly what I want

[01:20:33] but to your point yeah the hero

[01:20:35] talent balance this is where

[01:20:37] that wider beta

[01:20:39] is gonna be so

[01:20:41] important because you're gonna get so many people

[01:20:43] doing so many different things

[01:20:45] and the alpha

[01:20:47] I almost feel like the alpha that's

[01:20:49] that's your free marketing

[01:20:51] that's your people on

[01:20:53] Twitch streaming the thing

[01:20:55] and generating interest that's

[01:20:57] you know journalism folks

[01:20:59] press out there talking about it

[01:21:01] and then you know people like me

[01:21:03] that just looking hangarons that got lucky

[01:21:05] and you know I'm in it and getting to see it

[01:21:07] but

[01:21:09] yeah that's gonna be

[01:21:11] a big challenge

[01:21:13] and you know we'll keep talking about

[01:21:15] it and feeling it out and you know

[01:21:17] you and I I think have a couple of

[01:21:19] fairly different perspectives

[01:21:21] from different classes so

[01:21:23] you know I think we'll

[01:21:25] be able to share

[01:21:27] a variety of perspectives here

[01:21:29] but we'll

[01:21:31] we'll keep an eye on it

[01:21:33] but if you haven't gotten in

[01:21:35] which a lot of people haven't

[01:21:37] make sure you go to sign up

[01:21:39] they have the beta sign ups

[01:21:41] and you know this stuff isn't gonna last very long

[01:21:43] the game is probably gonna be out and I don't know

[01:21:45] what do you think jazz six months

[01:21:47] in there

[01:21:49] I've got August in my head for some reason

[01:21:51] that's what I've got

[01:21:53] you know that's

[01:21:55] although

[01:21:57] get to the next thing real quick and you did talk

[01:21:59] about this real quick is that

[01:22:01] along with all of this other

[01:22:03] news

[01:22:05] they did release the world

[01:22:07] of warcraft the war within 20th

[01:22:09] anniversary collectors edition for

[01:22:11] pre-order and it is a beast

[01:22:13] here in the US it's a hundred and

[01:22:15] eighty bucks so it's

[01:22:17] you know it's no joke

[01:22:19] but you're paying a premium here

[01:22:21] and it's the base edition

[01:22:23] of the game it's the

[01:22:25] war within hardcover art book

[01:22:27] a griffin rider statue which

[01:22:29] it is very glorious

[01:22:31] and it's gold and it's got the big griffin

[01:22:33] and the

[01:22:35] dwarf on it with the hammer and the hold

[01:22:37] it's very warcrafty

[01:22:39] like it is

[01:22:41] straight from the OG era

[01:22:43] a collectors pin

[01:22:45] anduin alleria and thrall

[01:22:47] and it looks like the key art

[01:22:49] you have all of the epic

[01:22:51] edition stuff level 70 character booze

[01:22:53] three days of early access

[01:22:55] still there jazz 30 days of game

[01:22:57] time the storm rider

[01:22:59] mount the attire which is cool

[01:23:01] the hearthstone

[01:23:03] the deep dwellers hearth earth and hearthstone

[01:23:05] effect squally

[01:23:07] storm hatchling pets

[01:23:09] sandbox storm griffin toy

[01:23:11] a thousand traders tender Jesus

[01:23:13] Christ there's a lot

[01:23:15] so

[01:23:17] is it expensive

[01:23:19] yeah it does look cool

[01:23:21] and this is a personal

[01:23:23] decision that everybody's gonna have to make

[01:23:25] about it

[01:23:27] I

[01:23:29] am lobbying for this to be a

[01:23:31] you know like a birthday gift

[01:23:33] I don't know I said it to my wife and I was like

[01:23:35] hey I don't know

[01:23:37] if you're still looking for a birthday gift coming

[01:23:39] up here in the next couple months but

[01:23:41] you know this might be alright

[01:23:43] but what's funny about this

[01:23:45] the reason why I bring it up to kind of the last thing

[01:23:47] we're talking about is

[01:23:49] I think the release date that they give

[01:23:51] for this is December like this will

[01:23:53] ship in December

[01:23:55] um

[01:23:57] it says it will launch with the expansion on

[01:23:59] or before December 31st

[01:24:01] 2024 so

[01:24:03] it was kind of funny seeing that and I was like

[01:24:05] my wife was like I thought she said

[01:24:07] it was coming out in like summer

[01:24:09] I'm pretty sure it is I think it's just a

[01:24:11] placeholder that they use

[01:24:13] but yeah but that

[01:24:15] is out there

[01:24:17] if I don't get it as a birthday gift

[01:24:19] or a father's day gift

[01:24:21] or I don't know whatever

[01:24:23] I mean I've ordered the damn thing myself

[01:24:25] if I still can because

[01:24:27] what did I say at the top of the folks show

[01:24:29] the show folks I can talk

[01:24:31] I'm a whore for all of this stuff

[01:24:33] I will buy it

[01:24:35] I will do whatever I have to

[01:24:37] to get my clutches on these things

[01:24:39] because that is the kind of

[01:24:41] I don't know

[01:24:43] brain dead wow apologist that I've become

[01:24:45] and always been I suppose so

[01:24:47] that's what we're gonna do

[01:24:49] that is out there so if that is of interest to you

[01:24:51] uh hit that

[01:24:53] um

[01:24:55] one of the other things that we talked about

[01:24:57] uh

[01:24:59] earlier is the

[01:25:01] skyriding now

[01:25:03] it's not gonna be dragon riding it's gonna be skyriding

[01:25:05] and they talked about there's 464 flying mounts

[01:25:07] that will be

[01:25:09] uh sky rideable

[01:25:11] when this launches

[01:25:13] and did try that out

[01:25:15] and it is pretty cool

[01:25:17] I didn't get to fly on my time lost proto drake

[01:25:19] but the black proto drake that's the same

[01:25:21] model it was pretty fucking cool

[01:25:23] not gonna lie

[01:25:25] I've done a good job and it's as cool as you think it is

[01:25:27] so

[01:25:29] that's fun

[01:25:31] um but there was one other

[01:25:33] aspect one last thing

[01:25:35] that I wanted to get

[01:25:37] your opinion on jazz

[01:25:39] and that is the arachnophobia mode

[01:25:41] and

[01:25:43] we've heard about this before

[01:25:45] and it is

[01:25:47] quite a source of controversy

[01:25:49] which I think is kind of hilarious

[01:25:51] but essentially what they've

[01:25:53] done is they've created

[01:25:55] of

[01:25:57] a toggle that you can flip

[01:25:59] in war within

[01:26:01] that will change spider models

[01:26:03] into crabs

[01:26:05] so

[01:26:07] you think about recent raids or other quests that you've done

[01:26:09] and those big spiders and all this kind of thing

[01:26:11] they will change them into these

[01:26:13] krabby crustacean

[01:26:15] looking things and

[01:26:17] for all the arachnophobic folks out there

[01:26:19] there's a godsend like oh thank you

[01:26:21] now I'll be able to play this

[01:26:23] or I'll be able to do that

[01:26:25] and I won't be freaking out about it and

[01:26:27] the other side of it is

[01:26:29] I cannot believe we're doing this

[01:26:31] and this is just more of the

[01:26:33] destruction of the game

[01:26:35] and all the

[01:26:37] human cry about arachnophobia mode

[01:26:39] and listen

[01:26:41] I'll be the first to tell you that

[01:26:43] I don't

[01:26:45] suffer from this affliction now

[01:26:47] do I like the bugs in the game?

[01:26:49] I don't like the bugs in the game and to me

[01:26:51] the sort of crustacean version

[01:26:53] of this is all kind of in the same vein

[01:26:55] and yeah I get

[01:26:57] that feeling to an extent but it's not enough

[01:26:59] where I'm gonna be like oh I'm never gonna play this

[01:27:01] but

[01:27:03] if it makes the game playable

[01:27:05] for people and it keeps them interested

[01:27:07] in having fun like who gives a shit

[01:27:09] like honest to god like to me

[01:27:11] one designer

[01:27:13] one dev

[01:27:15] was responsible for this as I understand it correctly

[01:27:17] and they spent the time to do this

[01:27:19] and it was important to them and it seems

[01:27:21] like there's enough people in the community that's important too

[01:27:23] and I know oh it's a slippery slope

[01:27:25] you know what are we gonna do next

[01:27:27] you're not gonna be able to stab anybody

[01:27:29] and it's just gonna go around

[01:27:31] and hug them to death

[01:27:33] alright I mean

[01:27:35] I hear what you're saying

[01:27:37] but to me

[01:27:39] I don't have a problem with this jazz

[01:27:41] I think this is a harmless addition to the game

[01:27:43] I don't have to flip that toggle

[01:27:45] I can get the game however I want

[01:27:47] so I'm fine with it

[01:27:49] but what is

[01:27:51] your wise and learned take

[01:27:53] on arachnophobia mode

[01:27:55] it's a big

[01:27:57] who cares from me I mean

[01:27:59] you don't have to turn it on so

[01:28:01] why is it a big deal

[01:28:03] you know if it

[01:28:05] you know if it really does help

[01:28:07] someone to feel a little bit better

[01:28:09] playing the game and it doesn't affect you at all

[01:28:11] then what's the big deal

[01:28:13] I will say this though

[01:28:15] I used to have arachnophobia

[01:28:17] quite not to the point where

[01:28:19] like some people where I couldn't even

[01:28:21] review a cartoon spider

[01:28:23] like that was fine but if it was a spider in real life

[01:28:25] it freaked me out

[01:28:27] I'd have to run away, leave the room

[01:28:29] and be like oh my god get my brother

[01:28:31] to deal with it

[01:28:33] but then I got a girlfriend

[01:28:35] who's in south Germany

[01:28:37] in the countryside

[01:28:39] and if there's one thing I've learned

[01:28:41] about living in the countryside

[01:28:43] is that there's a lot of bugs that live here

[01:28:45] and

[01:28:47] over the years

[01:28:49] I've exposed your therapy

[01:28:51] I have no longer a friend of spiders at all

[01:28:53] because

[01:28:55] they're everywhere here

[01:28:57] you could not possibly function

[01:28:59] in

[01:29:01] Germany, in south Germany

[01:29:03] in the countryside

[01:29:05] if you were particularly afraid of

[01:29:07] spiders I think

[01:29:09] because they're everywhere

[01:29:11] these little spiders, big ass spiders

[01:29:13] all kinds of spiders

[01:29:15] so I got used to it now

[01:29:17] another thing, you want to know

[01:29:19] another thing that's hilarious?

[01:29:21] I used to be scared of crabs

[01:29:23] oh

[01:29:25] that I could believe

[01:29:27] they're ugly, they're scary

[01:29:29] when I was a little kid

[01:29:31] yes, but when I was a little kid

[01:29:33] I had a traumatic experience

[01:29:35] with a bunch of crabs

[01:29:37] I was crab fishing

[01:29:39] with my dad

[01:29:41] I was like four years old

[01:29:43] and

[01:29:45] we were crab fishing

[01:29:47] over a pair in south of England

[01:29:49] and we put in these crabs in a bucket

[01:29:51] and

[01:29:53] for some reason

[01:29:55] first of all I was particularly apprehensive

[01:29:57] about these crabs anyway

[01:29:59] because they look creepy and weird and I'm from the city

[01:30:01] never seen a crab in real life before

[01:30:03] especially when that was crawling around and stuff

[01:30:05] and

[01:30:07] sitting down at a pair and I let my guard down

[01:30:09] for a minute and that crab was crawling on me

[01:30:11] crab was crawling on me bro

[01:30:13] I was like a little

[01:30:15] like four, three or four years old

[01:30:17] oh god

[01:30:19] then I had like

[01:30:21] fits of fear

[01:30:23] night terrors about crabs and nightmares about crabs

[01:30:25] when I was a little kid

[01:30:27] so I have to ask

[01:30:29] what about the people who are afraid of crabs

[01:30:31] there it is

[01:30:33] slippery slope

[01:30:35] slippery slope bro

[01:30:37] what would we change them into then

[01:30:39] I don't know

[01:30:41] it's funny though

[01:30:43] I was looking at the

[01:30:45] the change of spiders into crabs

[01:30:47] and I'm sitting there thinking

[01:30:49] the crabs look creepier than the spiders

[01:30:51] to me

[01:30:53] those

[01:30:55] clacker models and stuff

[01:30:57] really big

[01:30:59] big eye stalks and that kind of stuff

[01:31:01] the big googly eye

[01:31:03] and they got like the whole pincer thing going on

[01:31:05] like that to me is way scarier

[01:31:07] but

[01:31:09] it doesn't affect me

[01:31:11] it shouldn't affect anyone

[01:31:13] you know if someone likes

[01:31:15] and someone's using it then great

[01:31:17] I grounded

[01:31:19] as far as I'm aware

[01:31:21] Microsoft Obsidian

[01:31:23] Survival Game Grounded

[01:31:25] was the first game that put an arachnophobia mode

[01:31:27] in their game

[01:31:29] or at least the first high profile game that I'm aware of

[01:31:31] and it was controversial then too

[01:31:33] but

[01:31:35] I could, I think people could understand it a bit more

[01:31:37] because this is a game where you're shrunk down

[01:31:39] to the size of a spider

[01:31:41] thus making the spiders in that game gigantic

[01:31:43] and they're

[01:31:45] right up in your face and they actually

[01:31:47] move like spiders

[01:31:49] the spiders and grounded are actually terrifying

[01:31:51] they are absolutely

[01:31:53] awful and they

[01:31:55] they

[01:31:57] go and look at some clips online of the spiders and grounded

[01:31:59] they are horrific

[01:32:01] and the way the

[01:32:03] arachnophobia mode works in that is

[01:32:05] it turns them into blobs

[01:32:07] floating blobs with googly eyes

[01:32:09] and I'm sitting there thinking

[01:32:11] the arachnophobia mode

[01:32:13] are scarier

[01:32:15] than actual spiders

[01:32:17] these floating

[01:32:19] biblically accurate orbs

[01:32:21] with disembodied eyes

[01:32:23] they look horrible

[01:32:25] but yeah that's funny

[01:32:27] but you know

[01:32:29] it's important if it's uh

[01:32:31] it's a bad empathy at the end of the day

[01:32:33] and if someone

[01:32:35] likes the mode and wants to use the mode

[01:32:37] and you don't have to use the mode then it's no big deal

[01:32:39] it's the same as

[01:32:41] if you think that

[01:32:43] Lincoln Park and Deftones are metal

[01:32:45] let them

[01:32:47] let them ride with it

[01:32:49] don't rain on anyone's parade

[01:32:51] just let them fucking enjoy

[01:32:53] that's it you know

[01:32:55] I guess later on

[01:32:57] when there's some sort of bug mount

[01:32:59] and I need a filter to turn that into another

[01:33:01] uh B mount

[01:33:03] maybe that's what I'll log before

[01:33:05] if it gets you know if it gets to be too much

[01:33:07] but there you go

[01:33:09] that is our sort of initial

[01:33:11] foray into alpha

[01:33:13] coverage there is a there is

[01:33:15] a ton folks there's so much out there

[01:33:17] go out on

[01:33:19] whatever your favorite news website is

[01:33:21] whether that be windows central whether that be

[01:33:23] uh icy veins or wowhead

[01:33:25] or mmorpg

[01:33:27] mmo champion

[01:33:29] fucking

[01:33:31] what else is there blizzard watch

[01:33:33] all the ones there's tons out there

[01:33:35] and there's going to be more

[01:33:37] as

[01:33:39] this is only the first

[01:33:41] round we're only in one

[01:33:43] zone we haven't even touched

[01:33:45] like hallow fall we haven't

[01:33:47] touched the arathi which have

[01:33:49] the fucking amazing armor sets

[01:33:51] coming like the our team

[01:33:53] is killing it already folks just

[01:33:55] right there there's so much more that's

[01:33:57] coming so

[01:33:59] no panic nobody's missed anything

[01:34:01] we're just we're just beginning

[01:34:03] so

[01:34:05] hold on tight we'll bring you what we can as

[01:34:07] we do and of course uh our man

[01:34:09] on the street jazz will likely be on the front

[01:34:11] line so that'll be uh of

[01:34:13] great help to all of us as well

[01:34:15] and in case you forgot this

[01:34:17] episode is going to drop on the

[01:34:19] 20 uh second

[01:34:21] of april and I believe

[01:34:23] the next day is when season

[01:34:25] four begins uh if anybody

[01:34:27] remembers that season

[01:34:29] four or

[01:34:31] track and flight is about to

[01:34:33] hit in the midst of all of this mess

[01:34:35] uh we covered it a little bit

[01:34:37] you know it's it's pretty much what we've

[01:34:39] seen before it's a bit of a remix of what

[01:34:41] we've seen over the course of the expansion and I only

[01:34:43] have one question for you jazz is

[01:34:45] have you changed your mind about

[01:34:47] the way that season four is being handled is it still

[01:34:49] not your cup of tea

[01:34:51] I mean

[01:34:53] I mean it's kind of nice

[01:34:55] because my guild is kind of

[01:34:57] treating it as

[01:34:59] you know we'll try something new a lot of people

[01:35:01] are going to main ults for this season

[01:35:03] and you know because

[01:35:05] you know these are dungeons we've had on farm

[01:35:07] before so it won't be such a learning

[01:35:09] curve and I'm kind of

[01:35:11] happy that I get a second chance to get the

[01:35:13] slime mount slime cat mount because I missed

[01:35:15] it shadow lands yes

[01:35:17] so I mean

[01:35:19] but they could have added that well also

[01:35:21] I wanted I would have preferred a new

[01:35:23] right here man of course

[01:35:25] I would have preferred a new right here I think everyone

[01:35:27] would have preferred a new right here

[01:35:29] you know I don't know who the right here

[01:35:31] would have been against necessarily

[01:35:33] but I kind of feel like

[01:35:35] they you know we had like

[01:35:37] Razorgeth, Riddikron

[01:35:39] the ice

[01:35:41] chick

[01:35:43] who's name I can't remember right now

[01:35:45] Veranoth that's right

[01:35:47] and also

[01:35:49] in

[01:35:51] Iraq

[01:35:53] so it kind of felt like we were going to at the time

[01:35:55] it felt like we're going to get four tears

[01:35:57] facing off against each dragon

[01:35:59] and it'd be a self-constrained story but

[01:36:01] Veranoth

[01:36:03] survives and becomes a good guy

[01:36:05] and Riddikron's

[01:36:07] gone off to become a big bad

[01:36:09] in the future I think

[01:36:11] so we kind of in this sort of

[01:36:15] this weird

[01:36:17] where

[01:36:19] I don't know where

[01:36:23] we couldn't have had a fourth tear because of the

[01:36:25] where the story panned out

[01:36:27] I suppose

[01:36:29] I don't know I can't even think what

[01:36:31] that could have done I kind of feel like

[01:36:33] we should have had a tear where

[01:36:35] we're fighting the nolls man

[01:36:37] and the decay nolls

[01:36:39] and there should have been a raid

[01:36:41] against the

[01:36:43] last boss of that noldungeon

[01:36:45] who survives and has gone off somewhere

[01:36:47] that kind of felt like a hint

[01:36:49] that he was going to be an important character

[01:36:53] you know but

[01:36:55] season 4 nol raid that could have been a hit

[01:36:57] yeah well maybe it should have been a season 3

[01:36:59] nol raid and then

[01:37:01] season 4 should have been Balometh with Farak

[01:37:03] or something there you go

[01:37:05] but yeah I don't know it is where it is

[01:37:07] but I'll play it anyway

[01:37:09] yeah this does seem to be the way

[01:37:11] that it's going and

[01:37:13] been planned out for a while

[01:37:15] and I credit to

[01:37:17] friend of the show Ali for

[01:37:19] seeing if I had

[01:37:21] time and space to raid

[01:37:23] on their team and I don't know

[01:37:27] probably this is the first time going

[01:37:29] yes I said anything back to me yet

[01:37:31] I may not be able to make that

[01:37:33] timing work unfortunately

[01:37:35] and I'll have to find my own

[01:37:37] place therein is

[01:37:39] kind of in a weird place right now

[01:37:41] where our guild

[01:37:43] I think our team is done

[01:37:45] I don't know

[01:37:47] exactly what the future holds

[01:37:49] and I'm

[01:37:51] frankly I'm kind of in a weird spot

[01:37:53] with the game where

[01:37:55] before the alpha and with plunderstorm

[01:37:57] I haven't engaged a whole lot

[01:37:59] because I feel a little

[01:38:03] unmoored if that makes sense

[01:38:05] just sort of kind of floating out there

[01:38:07] at the moment without an active team

[01:38:09] and without a focus it's the first

[01:38:11] time I've had that in a decade so it's kind of weird

[01:38:13] so heading into

[01:38:15] season 4 it's

[01:38:17] starting it's kind of made me think about

[01:38:19] you know what are my goals

[01:38:21] what do I want to do like what am I interested in right now

[01:38:23] and I probably just need to get back to questing

[01:38:25] I think that's it is I still have

[01:38:27] quests that I haven't

[01:38:29] finished storylines I haven't seen through

[01:38:31] and

[01:38:33] we haven't talked about yet

[01:38:35] the season 4

[01:38:37] or I guess the overarching dragon

[01:38:39] flight

[01:38:41] mount reward of Tyvan

[01:38:43] the bestest boy

[01:38:45] and we talked about this when the

[01:38:47] expansion first launched

[01:38:49] how great a character that was

[01:38:51] and I now have a

[01:38:53] gigantic golden

[01:38:55] retriever puppy that is

[01:38:57] by no means a puppy as he's like

[01:38:59] 65 pounds and he's 7 months

[01:39:01] old and he's fucking

[01:39:03] enormous already and it's probably gonna be

[01:39:05] 100 plus pounds when he's done and it looks just like Tyvan

[01:39:07] so I'm like yes

[01:39:09] yes definitely the goodest boy

[01:39:11] who's chewing up all the fucking furniture

[01:39:13] in my house so maybe

[01:39:15] maybe that's the goal right is maybe that's the goal

[01:39:17] I want to I want to work on that but

[01:39:19] whatever your goals are

[01:39:21] season 4 is about to begin

[01:39:23] and

[01:39:25] quickly here

[01:39:27] because I want to spend more

[01:39:29] time on this

[01:39:31] later on when we have I think a bit more

[01:39:33] time is we are now already

[01:39:35] aware

[01:39:37] of what patch

[01:39:39] 10.2

[01:39:41] 0.7 is going to look like

[01:39:43] and

[01:39:45] it's another kind of big

[01:39:47] swing in that we're going to be doing

[01:39:51] for lack of a better term a speed run

[01:39:53] of miss of Pandaria they're calling it wow mix

[01:39:55] wow remix

[01:39:57] miss of Pandaria where

[01:39:59] it's going to be

[01:40:01] sort of

[01:40:03] a sped up experience

[01:40:05] of going through Pandaria running I think

[01:40:07] level 10 through 70

[01:40:09] and it's going to be

[01:40:11] like some differences in your

[01:40:13] power and how

[01:40:15] kind of the leveling experience works but it's

[01:40:17] an opportunity to

[01:40:19] play through all of that story and that expansion

[01:40:21] on an accelerated timeline

[01:40:25] missed being one

[01:40:27] of the great expansions

[01:40:29] I was

[01:40:31] very wrong about that

[01:40:33] one when it first got announced

[01:40:35] I swore that I

[01:40:37] was going to quit the game over pandas

[01:40:39] and I'm really glad that I didn't because

[01:40:41] that was

[01:40:43] a hell of an experience and I'm so

[01:40:45] glad that

[01:40:47] it's something that they're going to continue

[01:40:49] to treat with a

[01:40:51] sense of reverence in that they want people to

[01:40:53] experience it

[01:40:55] but for you Jez

[01:40:57] is something that

[01:40:59] catches your interest

[01:41:01] I'm honestly not sure

[01:41:03] I'm kind of

[01:41:05] not the kind of person

[01:41:07] who likes to backtrack

[01:41:09] I have a lot of nostalgia for things like classic

[01:41:11] and Wrath but I never wanted to do

[01:41:13] I never wanted to play through

[01:41:15] either classic or wrath because

[01:41:17] I kind of feel like I've been there I'd rather focus

[01:41:19] what little time I have on

[01:41:21] retail in the future and stuff

[01:41:23] because that's where the most of development

[01:41:25] effort is going but

[01:41:27] I don't know I might

[01:41:29] do it, I might not do it

[01:41:31] I've looked at some of the rewards

[01:41:33] and they're not super exciting to me

[01:41:35] so

[01:41:37] I'm kind of 50-50

[01:41:39] at the moment but it depends on what my guild does

[01:41:41] my guild decides that

[01:41:43] I think my guilds said they want

[01:41:45] to clear

[01:41:47] all the raids in season 4 first

[01:41:49] and then maybe they'll do

[01:41:51] they'll run through

[01:41:53] maybe they'll run through

[01:41:55] Mythic

[01:41:57] not Mythic, mist then

[01:41:59] and do the raids there as well

[01:42:01] so I'll see

[01:42:03] of the Druze out

[01:42:05] yeah there's been

[01:42:07] a fair amount of excitement amongst

[01:42:09] the player base so far to see this

[01:42:11] and there are going to be some

[01:42:13] unique rewards

[01:42:15] they've talked about previously unreleased color

[01:42:17] variants of older mounts

[01:42:19] and a few other things

[01:42:21] so we'll see how that comes together

[01:42:23] it's also going to be a limited time event

[01:42:25] I don't know what

[01:42:27] that limited amount of time

[01:42:29] might be at the moment but

[01:42:31] something that we have on the horizon

[01:42:33] and we'll talk a little bit more

[01:42:35] about that as we get

[01:42:37] closer to it

[01:42:39] so

[01:42:41] Jazz, we're going to do something a little bit different

[01:42:43] close out the show today

[01:42:45] because this will be

[01:42:47] our last episode for April

[01:42:49] so

[01:42:51] we have to do

[01:42:53] our trading post ratings because

[01:42:55] it's what the people clamor for, Jazz

[01:42:57] it's what they come for

[01:42:59] now

[01:43:01] little, I don't know, window into how

[01:43:03] this show gets made or what I do

[01:43:05] is the way in which

[01:43:07] I have put this all

[01:43:09] together in the past is that Blizzard

[01:43:11] has been so kind as to

[01:43:13] when they put out their blog post

[01:43:15] they list everything

[01:43:17] and have photos of everything

[01:43:19] that show

[01:43:21] what all the stuff is

[01:43:23] and so I can just

[01:43:25] kind of go one by one and just side unseen

[01:43:27] to sort of like hit it

[01:43:29] what my initial impressions are

[01:43:31] maybe somebody listens to this show

[01:43:33] maybe

[01:43:35] somebody took offense to how I did that

[01:43:37] maybe it's just happenstance

[01:43:39] but Jazz, they don't do that in the blog post anymore

[01:43:41] all they do is list things

[01:43:43] and what the names are

[01:43:45] and how many traders tenders they are

[01:43:47] with the exception of one or two items

[01:43:49] so

[01:43:51] for only the second time

[01:43:53] that I'm aware of

[01:43:55] since I started doing this show 8 years ago

[01:43:57] I need to now log into

[01:43:59] my live account

[01:44:01] and we're just gonna do this live

[01:44:03] on the air

[01:44:05] just gonna go through the trading post

[01:44:07] I have my character parks out in front of stormwind

[01:44:11] I think I have the volume turned down

[01:44:13] I couldn't be like a whole

[01:44:15] thing here

[01:44:17] interrupting all of this so

[01:44:19] I'm going to log in

[01:44:21] right now

[01:44:23] and we're going to do

[01:44:25] April trading post trading

[01:44:27] so here we go there is a queue

[01:44:29] what?

[01:44:31] a queue

[01:44:33] well that's the first

[01:44:35] damn

[01:44:37] let those sub numbers roll

[01:44:39] I guess those charts were correct

[01:44:41] it is on the rise

[01:44:43] Sunday afternoon

[01:44:45] we're busy

[01:44:47] here we go

[01:44:49] there's an old loading screen

[01:44:51] I love varying on it but god does that need an update

[01:44:53] there's some long

[01:44:55] list of folks here

[01:44:57] here we go

[01:44:59] right off the

[01:45:01] jump here

[01:45:03] the dread wake pirate ship

[01:45:05] mount

[01:45:07] which we have seen this before

[01:45:09] this is not necessarily new

[01:45:13] but it is a pirate ship

[01:45:15] it's got cannons

[01:45:17] it's got a big octopus in the front

[01:45:19] and

[01:45:21] I'll be honest with you

[01:45:23] I'm not the biggest fan

[01:45:25] of all the piratey stuff but this is a pretty badass mount

[01:45:27] this is a pretty badass mount

[01:45:29] and for

[01:45:31] 800 traders tenders I think you know where this is gonna go

[01:45:39] now mind you this also falls under the plunder storm

[01:45:43] the subsection of the trading post

[01:45:47] this month so that was the first

[01:45:49] next one the trusty

[01:45:51] treasure trove which is a

[01:45:53] essentially a treasure chest

[01:45:55] on your back you can see jewels

[01:45:57] and a pearl necklace and a crown

[01:45:59] peeking out the back and oh yeah

[01:46:01] that's what I thought about

[01:46:03] that's why he's here with me

[01:46:05] that's why he's the goat

[01:46:07] the cow

[01:46:09] you gotta buy it in fact I'm gonna buy it right now

[01:46:11] for 750 trader tender

[01:46:13] my god

[01:46:15] alright next up

[01:46:17] the ensemble

[01:46:19] the fearless buccaneers

[01:46:21] slops

[01:46:23] it's the biggest piece of dog shit

[01:46:25] the slops that's a terrible name

[01:46:27] I don't wanna wear anything called the slops

[01:46:29] you could have called that anything else

[01:46:31] they probably would have gotten a higher rating so next up

[01:46:33] the

[01:46:35] the fearless buccaneer slops for

[01:46:37] 650 trader tender

[01:46:39] now this is the swashbuckling buccaneer

[01:46:41] slops for

[01:46:43] oh my god 650 trader tender

[01:46:45] it's the biggest piece of dog shit

[01:46:47] I'm not paying that much for that

[01:46:49] get out of here next up

[01:46:51] the crimson bicorn

[01:46:53] which is exactly the kind

[01:46:55] of like old school I don't know

[01:46:57] British navy

[01:46:59] from hundreds of years ago

[01:47:01] kinda vibe

[01:47:03] I mean jazz is what we Americans think about these hats

[01:47:05] this is how we just probably

[01:47:07] I don't know what to say but it's got

[01:47:09] the skull and crossbones on the side

[01:47:11] and it's red what do we think

[01:47:13] I mean it's alright like

[01:47:15] it needs like one more detail

[01:47:17] it just needs one more detail that's what I'm thinking

[01:47:19] next up though the classic

[01:47:21] pirate hat skull and crossbones

[01:47:23] it's black it's the dread admirals bicorn

[01:47:25] 475 trader tender

[01:47:27] it's the biggest piece of dog shit

[01:47:29] yeah you know why I surprised you on that one

[01:47:31] it's facing the wrong direction

[01:47:33] it should not be flat

[01:47:35] in the front

[01:47:37] it should have a big white brim

[01:47:39] like if I've learned anything

[01:47:41] from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies

[01:47:43] this is not the jam so you can go deep six that one

[01:47:45] next up the frenzied hat

[01:47:47] of the deep blue

[01:47:49] for 175

[01:47:51] trader tenders

[01:47:53] this is a

[01:47:55] shark that is a stuffy

[01:47:57] I think and it is

[01:47:59] being plopped on your head

[01:48:01] like a balloon animal this one

[01:48:03] might surprise you

[01:48:05] that's why he's here to be

[01:48:07] that's why he's the goat

[01:48:09] the goat

[01:48:11] when I say I love this

[01:48:13] I mean it and I'm literally buying it

[01:48:15] right now 175 trader tender here we go

[01:48:17] this is the first time I've seen this people

[01:48:19] I haven't looked through this before so here we go

[01:48:21] next one is the iron

[01:48:23] tied raiders bicorn

[01:48:25] which is like the dread admirals bicorn

[01:48:27] for 175 trader tender

[01:48:29] except this one is red and black

[01:48:31] it has a different design in the front

[01:48:33] I mean it's alright

[01:48:35] it's less offensive I don't know

[01:48:37] maybe it's the red it's throwing me off

[01:48:39] it doesn't make me as angry as the other one

[01:48:41] alright next up back to the

[01:48:43] standard catalog now looks like

[01:48:45] this is gonna be what we can expect

[01:48:47] regular rotation kind of stuff

[01:48:49] the ensemble of the spring

[01:48:51] revelers

[01:48:53] lavender

[01:48:55] collection hit it

[01:48:57] that's what I'm talking about

[01:48:59] that's why he's here to be

[01:49:01] that's why he's the goat

[01:49:03] now listen

[01:49:05] this is a well constructed

[01:49:07] uh sun hat dress

[01:49:09] combo now this is not the kind of thing

[01:49:11] that I would personally wear

[01:49:13] or would have on my character

[01:49:15] but there is a level of detail on this

[01:49:17] that is actually pretty damn good

[01:49:19] like if you look closely at this

[01:49:21] uh this lavender dress

[01:49:23] the details of the flowers

[01:49:25] and the art that they put together on this

[01:49:27] it's actually pretty good

[01:49:29] I gotta hand it to him

[01:49:31] for 500 trader tender I think that's a great deal

[01:49:33] for uh

[01:49:35] an ensemble

[01:49:37] next up oh yeah

[01:49:39] the savage blue

[01:49:41] battle turtle enough said

[01:49:43] that's what I'm talking about

[01:49:45] that's why he's here to be

[01:49:47] that's why he's the goat

[01:49:49] he is the goat

[01:49:51] that's badass look at thing it's a high

[01:49:53] detail turtle

[01:49:55] and it's all horned and it's got big

[01:49:57] cannons and they're on fire

[01:49:59] and this this thing is fantastic

[01:50:01] this is one of the best mounts they've ever had

[01:50:03] in this dang

[01:50:05] thing alright next up the spring

[01:50:07] revelers lavender apparel

[01:50:09] it's another ensemble set

[01:50:11] uh this is the sort of

[01:50:13] I guess uh classically male version

[01:50:15] and uh here we go

[01:50:17] it's okay

[01:50:19] the details

[01:50:21] they are a little higher but you know it's not as good

[01:50:23] as the other one next up the

[01:50:25] inventum to gut ripper this is a

[01:50:27] one-handed dagger 300

[01:50:29] trader tender and

[01:50:31] oh hell no

[01:50:33] it's the biggest piece of dog shit

[01:50:35] it's got eyeballs

[01:50:37] hanging off of it that are like

[01:50:39] fell green eyeballs hanging

[01:50:41] off of like

[01:50:43] I don't know retina strands

[01:50:45] oh that's nasty jazz

[01:50:47] that is just nasty

[01:50:49] I don't know what's going on that is

[01:50:51] oof

[01:50:53] there's no way get out of here

[01:50:55] next up the spring revelers

[01:50:57] dandelion sun hat

[01:50:59] I mean it's alright like

[01:51:01] it's pretty non-offensive I mean

[01:51:03] you know it's a big wide

[01:51:05] sun hat I have something similar I wear in the yard

[01:51:07] um

[01:51:09] just with no flower and a different

[01:51:11] strap holding around my head

[01:51:13] alright next up the war

[01:51:15] hammer of hubris

[01:51:17] that's what I'm talking about

[01:51:19] that's why he's here with me

[01:51:21] that's why he's the goat

[01:51:23] the goat

[01:51:25] this is a phenomenal piece of weaponry right here

[01:51:27] a two-handed mace for 300

[01:51:29] trader tender so it's even a good deal

[01:51:31] and it's like

[01:51:33] it's almost like a like a

[01:51:35] I don't know I got demon head

[01:51:37] with a big

[01:51:39] rock in its mouth like going through its head

[01:51:41] um like it looks like it's trying to swallow

[01:51:43] a giant crystal and it's coming out the back of its head

[01:51:45] this is this is a great piece

[01:51:47] right here uh you should definitely

[01:51:49] get this into your collection

[01:51:51] next up the assassins bandelier

[01:51:53] 250 trader tender

[01:51:55] I mean it's alright like

[01:51:57] I'm sure this is good for people

[01:51:59] who wear bandeliers but you know

[01:52:01] it's it's it's small

[01:52:03] it's got daggers and vials and yeah

[01:52:05] let her rip

[01:52:07] next up oh my goodness

[01:52:09] alright I gave it away the emerald

[01:52:11] guardian's longbow

[01:52:13] for 250 trader tenders

[01:52:15] and this comes with the sort of the flavor text here

[01:52:17] the emerald dream

[01:52:19] is the charge of the green dragons we will defend it

[01:52:21] no matter the cost according to marithura this is a

[01:52:23] bow

[01:52:31] the

[01:52:33] green dragon detail in this thing

[01:52:35] is insane

[01:52:37] this is beautiful this is actually

[01:52:39] a legitimately beautiful piece

[01:52:41] of uh

[01:52:43] of craftsmanship here

[01:52:45] in the trading post

[01:52:47] wow that is stupendous definitely

[01:52:49] ought to buy that one next up

[01:52:51] helm of the stout my god

[01:52:53] this is a good month

[01:53:01] apparently used to belong to somebody by the name of

[01:53:03] Olaf and

[01:53:05] it's a big, horned

[01:53:07] classic barbarian

[01:53:09] esk helm

[01:53:11] that everyone should have

[01:53:13] in their collection next up

[01:53:15] the blade masters

[01:53:17] violet stones we've seen

[01:53:19] these before big stones go around your neck this one's

[01:53:21] a violet color for 200 trader tender

[01:53:25] these are nice I like these they're okay

[01:53:27] non-offensive it's all good

[01:53:29] and next up the delicate

[01:53:31] silk parasol which will

[01:53:33] allow you to float

[01:53:35] safely the next time that you fall

[01:53:39] I've heard people like them

[01:53:41] and uh you know

[01:53:43] it fits your jam let a rip

[01:53:45] next up the spring revelers dandelion dress

[01:53:49] it doesn't get full marks

[01:53:51] because it doesn't come with a hat jazz

[01:53:53] it's gotta have the hat

[01:53:55] if it doesn't have the hat

[01:53:57] it doesn't get the rating

[01:53:59] next up the codex of classic

[01:54:01] conjurations

[01:54:03] that is some alliteration there folks

[01:54:05] this is an offhand

[01:54:07] looks sort of like

[01:54:09] a classic paladin

[01:54:11] librum

[01:54:13] like a book that you would hold

[01:54:15] and it spells out of

[01:54:17] and yeah let's hit it

[01:54:19] 175 trader tender oh jeez

[01:54:27] that's a good looking piece right there

[01:54:29] alright next up the jade

[01:54:31] the champions jade cleaver

[01:54:33] 150 trader tender for a two-handed

[01:54:35] pull arm

[01:54:37] oh my god you put that up next to

[01:54:39] that bow I was just drooling over a second ago

[01:54:41] that is not impressive

[01:54:43] next up the gossamer emerald gown

[01:54:47] it doesn't cover my man titties jazz

[01:54:49] and frankly

[01:54:51] I need that nip coverage and if he can't

[01:54:53] give it to me then I

[01:54:55] I can't give it a good rating

[01:54:57] next up mantel of the scholarly raven

[01:54:59] for 150 trader tender

[01:55:03] it's like missing something

[01:55:05] I think the eyes need to be on fire

[01:55:07] but it looks like a couple of like raven heads

[01:55:09] on your shoulder they're cool

[01:55:11] but it just needs just a little bit touch

[01:55:13] the spring revelers dandelion

[01:55:15] attire oh my gosh

[01:55:19] it's a yellow shirt with some flowers let's go

[01:55:21] classic violet tabard

[01:55:29] oh I like that one

[01:55:31] that's a good one

[01:55:33] that's a beautiful color and a nice cut

[01:55:35] next up the oh my goodness

[01:55:37] the vagabonds camo threads

[01:55:39] ensemble well jazz

[01:55:43] as an American I only have

[01:55:45] one choice when it comes to anything

[01:55:47] that is camo

[01:55:49] that's what I'm talking about

[01:55:51] that's why he's here with me

[01:55:53] that's why he's the goat

[01:55:55] the goat

[01:55:57] we tell you that our colors are red white and blue
